....Hi all...some may remember that a few days ago I had a super string of referrals because of my concern about my 'Box' having shifted towards my armpit...and this is two whole years after my..'Bad Dream' of an implant..as in ..4 hours plus.
I saw Dr Sandilands at Glenfield, Leicester ( UK ) on Friday and he wants to go in and dig the little beast out and replant it a bit more over to the centre..good news is that Dr S..( Smashing Guy..also a Triathlete) wants to do the deed in 2 to...

Well I had my pacemaker implant on November 9th. The Surgery itself went great. I got home and that's when it all went unfortunate. I had severe chest pain so I was rushed back to the nearest hospital and was told that one of my leads had punctured a hole in my heart. After one day in that hospital they transferred me to another for doctors more familiar with the situation. I spent one night there before the liquid around my heart had irritated my lungs enough to cause them to collapse. I spent...

I had a pacemaker placed two weeks ago and I've been feeling a strong beat under my left breast. My cardiologist told me this morning that the pacemaker is set too strong and it is pacing my diaphram as well as my heart. I will be having my pacemaker interrogated later today for adjustment. Have any of you had this problem?

I posted this morning before meeting with my cardiologist and discussed having an "extra beat" or spasm in my diaphragm right under my left breast. I have been able to find some positions (in a recliner especially) that have eased this pain so I've been able to sleep. I now am pretty sure that I was having this same problem along with some other regular pains the very first night in the hospital.
I had my surgery Nov. 7th.called the nurse that night with pains and she ended up calling...

I am two weeks past receiving my pacemaker. In the morning my left arm is reddish purple. Over the day it is less so. I also had a small bruise at the sight of my IV and in the last two days it has tripled in size. Should I be worried? I am still quite light heade4d as well.

Hi!
I'm 17 years old and on Nov. 5, I received a dual-chamber pacemaker for Sick Sinus Syndrome.
After waking up in recovery, I experienced just a few arrhythmias which I attributed them to my heart just being "normal."- you know just my daily thing.
However, 4 hours after the implant, the arrhythmias got way worse and they turned to runs where my heart would beat an irregular beat and continue very fast and irregularly. This worsened over night and was leaving...

Hey guys! I know it's been awhile.. I have been adjusting quite fine .. I went back to work feeling pretty good, until yesterday I started getting dizzy spells and sob, feeling as if I was running for my life while laying in bed! Today I went to work at all day having the same feelings. I called the doctor and as I was waiting for him to call me back .. I left work early and I went in my car to go home and wait for him to tell me what I should do.. It started again and I couldn't even drive up t...

Has anyone ever had an angiogram ? I am apparently going to have one and don't know what to expect. I have a small hole left in my heart and they might have to repair it. They want to measure the size of the hole. What is the procedure like ?

Is it possible that through the years your pacemaker settings can adjust, making your heart beat a little too fast at times? My friends Mom told me that my heart was beating about 101 times per minute and it's not a wonder I have such bad panic disorder. Something I should discuss with my doctors perhaps? My relaxed heart rate is pretty high, yet my blood pressure is 'perfect.'

Hi everyone-
I received my pacemaker in May of this year. They did a node ablation in August and now I am totally dependent on my pm.
The last couple weeks, whenever I raise my arms above heart level, they start to tingle and go numb from shoulder to wrist. At night, I awake because my arm on the opposite side I am laying hurts so bad - an ache type pain - from the shoulder to the wrist. Anyone else have this problem? I tried to search for this on here using the search tool but I on...

I rec. a PM about 6 months ago after a valve replacement in the heart. I have noticed that the PM feels like it's pinching me at times. It can be at rest or when I do daily activieites. Has anyone else experienced this feeling? Is it a problem?
Thanks for your help.

Hi there. I am 40 years old and had a Medtronic pacemaker implanted in February of this year. I was told I had Sick Sinus Syndrome and Bradycardia, I would like to say that i feel better but I have traded one set of symptoms for another. My pacemaker is set at 65 because I'm younger, but I would like to know WHY AM i SO SHORT OF BREATHE??? Im really sick and tired of feeling winded after I walk across a parking lot or store, or when I'm at work running from one patient room to another. I NEVER...

I was recently diagnosed with a 3rd degree A/V block and then fitted with a dual lead pacemaker, in the first few days it was pacing for me only 2-3 times a day for a couple of minutes. within a few weeks it was up to nearly 100% of the time. In my recent checkup/adjustment, I complained of residual dyspnea (being out of breath) from walking up stairs and the inability to exercise (up until a few months ago, i was an ultra runner). An echocardiogram showed that i had only 60% of my regular he...

I've had my PM for about 4 weeks now. Everything seemed to go well. I had it put in because I was feeling anxiety like attacks where I got light headed and almost passed out..come to find out my heart was in a stage 2 block and then went to stage 3 while in the hospital awaiting the placement of the PM. Today as I was in the store I got very dizzy and started feeling like I was going to pass out again! Called the oncall cardio and they told me to rest this weekend and not do much and get checked...

Hi Everyone, I have a question for anyone. Had my pacemaker implanted Sept,4,2012. Almost from the beginning while I'm walking I get tightness in my chest. Had a cardiac cath done 3 weeks after pm. Dr found nothing. I can only walk at a very slow pace or I have severe chest pain.Is this normal with the pm or what do I need to do?
