I have received a message in my private e-mail, not the one on here, addressed to me using my Pacemaker Club member name! Has this happened to anyone else, and does anyone know how Huffington Post has been able to access member names? I am really annoyed.
Thanks.

I apologize, but this was too good to not pass along.
An 8-year-old girl went to her grandfather who was working in the yard and asked him,
"Grampa, what is a couple sex?
The grandfather was surprised that she would ask such a question, but decided that if she's old enough to know to ask the question then she's old enough to get a straight answer.
Taking care to leave nothing out, he proceeded to tell her all about human reproduction and the joys and...

Well no new news from the doctor appointment other then they want me to go back on the dobutamine 24/7 again ASAP. Told them I will hold off a bit longer even though I know I need it. I;m trying to build myself up some.
Other then that, I been getting outside early each day before it heats up for a short walk when I'm up to it. Pushing myself to eat many small meals every day. I did put on a couple pounds which is a very good thing for me.
I did tell the Dr I was planning o...

Had a visit with the cardiac surgeon who removed my infected pacemaker. He is happy with the way the space my pacemaker used to occupy is healing. Still doing the treatments "old school." This surgeon is using a "Montgomery Strap" as opposed to a "wound vac." See the cardiac surgeon again next week.

I spoke to a friend of mine who is a Nurse. Shes in the hospital after having a heart attack yesterday. She did not have chest pains at all. She had a pain that went from shoulder to shoulder just above her shoulder blades. She thought it was connected to the stiff neck she has been having. Also had a thin line of pain from each shoulder, down the outside of her arms to her hands. She was going to go to bed for a while but instead went to the store with her daughter where it got worse aft...

I am wondering how my St Jude model PM2110 compares to other dual lead pacemakers. Also does anyone have knowledge of a recall on my model St Jude. How would I find out if my pacemaker has been updated with the new software version. I'm a "pacer" since April 25, 2013 and would appreciate any advice that helps me cope.

Off to hospital again today for a further ercp. Visit to Hobart was a total washout because my specialist dictated another patient's history. My sp apologised profusely but I was left wondering and angry at all the months of waiting and finding myself back to square one. Talk about loss of confidence.
On the brighter side I had the scan for my left lung node on Friday last and saw the specialist on Monday. Good news the node or whatever it was has gone. Sp said it could have bee...

After two months of not working and a month and a half of waiting for a final decision, we finally have one. I will be getting a single lead pacemaker. It was a trying two months and it proves to me God works in mysterious ways and knows what we need. When this started as a typical epileptic seizure for which I was hospitalized for in January, we had no idea where that would lead us. I am thankful for the neurologist that mentioned my slow heart rate and thought of the connection. I am grat...

I received my pacemaker in January 2013. I feel great, have energy and can stay up all day without a nap. Did not realize I felt so poorly before. I am 76 and have a future now.
I need to lose weight, about 100 lbs. The doctor never pushes me or even mentions it unless I say something. I know that losing it would be good for my knees and general health.
My question is with a pacemaker, is there anyone out there who is trying the Pure Green Coffee Bean Extract Pill rec...

Hi everyone,
WOW, its been a year since I hooked up with my new best friend. In the words of Jerry and the gang: what a long strange trip its been!
To be at work, at play, traveling; basically living My life in spite of what I (we've) been through is truly fabulous. What's this past year shown me? That love, trust, and faith are beyond value. That life is precious and beautiful and meant to be appreciated. That there's a lot of BS going on that isn't worth sweating over.

Let me preface this post by saying that I'm a new mom with a sick infant who hasn't had a full night if sleep in weeks. I went to the doctor yesterday for what I thought was just a cold, and ended up being diagnosed with pneumonia. Evidently we're more susceptible to it as heart patients. Did any one else know this? Has any one else had pneumonia? If so can you please give me an idea about recovery time, and let me know if I need to contact my cardiologist? I really don't want to end up in the...

Laying in the ER of Wake Med wasn't what I planned on doing that Saturday night December 10, 2011. I started my day off as normal , got ready to call basketball with my buddy Chris Mitchell like we always do, 4 games at our local high school in Princeton, then coaching a game for Jaxson's 6under team at 3. After the 4th game I officiated that day I just felt a little wore out. Normally I can run about 7 or 8 games on a Saturday but this day was different. I just felt like I wanted to throw up. I...

Had my 6th semi-annual PM check yesterday and all seems to be well. The worst part was driving the 55 miles to the appointment through high winds and blowing dust. I'm checking into getting a home monitor so I can quit this.
I know, this is a boring post, but sometimes it feels good to just let folks know that the problem posts aren't all of us. Looking at the forum could scare some folks away if they thought we were all in such trouble.
Anyway I'm thankful that thin...

I have not been on the board in a while. I have gone back to work and the PM is doing swell. But I was very sad to see Electric Frank is no longer with us. He was always a highlight of my visits to this board.
You will be missed Electric Frank.
