Huffington Post Social News ???

I have received a message in my private e-mail, not the one on here, addressed to me using my Pacemaker Club member name! Has this happened to anyone else, and does anyone know how Huffington Post has been able to access member names? I am really annoyed.

Thanks.

I will email Blake, the site owner, see if his tech support has any ideas. I can't think of any way to access the member email addresses short of hacking the system. I know he doesn't sell or share the list. They are private and not shared with anyone.

Any chance you posted a comment on one of their website articles and used the same name?

Thanks, TraceyE, for contacting site owner about this. No, I have never posted on their website at all and would never use a member name I have for duplicate purposes anyway. I have only one association with Huff Post for alerts regarding air travel and that is on my secondary
private e-mail address, not my primary.

The one sent was referring me to an article about a centarian. I did not click to see the article.

This is so creepy.

Thanks again.

P.S. The e-mail came from someone named
Ellie Knaus, who is apparently (searched her name) a blogger for Huffington Post.

I can't explain

We do not sell or share member information with third parties as we respect your privacy. I also verified that our system has not been hacked. I also can not find a member using the name Ellie Knaus. I thought she may have created an account to collect data from members via private messages and postings.

You are the only member who has notified us of such an email. Can you send me the email that you received. The email address would help me do more investigation.

Dear Blake,

I had to go into hospital the day I received your communication, for second total knee replacement within a year, and am still struggling with pain since I am unable to tolerate meds they have given me due to a neuroimmune disease.

Thank you for your communication and concern, anyway.

You know you're wired when...

You fondly named your implanted buddy.
