Hi

Well l am having a bad week, nothing to do with my PM that is fine.
l had to have one of my dogs put down today & it broke my heart, we had only had her 8yrs (she was a rescue dog who had been badly treated) but l loved her to bits & cant stop crying. l know it was the right thing to do but it bloody hurts.
Also my next door neighbours who we have known for over 20yrs had a "violent" end to their marriage, it was all very unexpected & dramatic & because l am close to them both l am having to be a good listener to the pair of them.
l just feel totally drained emotionally & its not a feeling l am used to.
Could do with a bit of cheering up IAN MC & Tatman are you listening?
But apart from that it is a beautiful sunny bank holiday here in England & maybe a BBQ & a glass of wine will help?
Thanks for listening to my "woes"

Sad

I'm so sad for you...Our dogs are so-o-o special to us. If you can't stop crying....you have probably kept it in for a bunch of other things. Sometimes you just have to let it all out to get through it. Being a good listener is very important to people. I'm glad you have that gift. They don't want your advice...you are very wise just to be there for them. I pray for your healing and loss. Bev of NC

so sorry

when we love our animals it is very sad to lose them. they love us so unconditionally. it is also sometimes full of surprizes and when we are close to anyone involved in violence it is doubly hard. you are a very kind and strong person to be able to listen. i will pray that things get better and that you experience some peace. jessie

Really sorry to hear about your dog and your neighbours.

A little poem to cheer you up :-

There was a young lady called Sue
Who Tatman was trying to woo
He suggested her bed
She put him off with her shed
I'm waiting there now in the queue !

I'm sorry to hear of your dog's passing. We have one rescue dog and 2 rescue cats....we are definitely animal people. (my husband and I).....you might want to visit RainbowBridge.com. It's a place to share your thoughts and feelings (much like this forum) with people who are animal lovers. It really helped me when we lost our little Julio several years ago. Pets are members of the family.
You must be a real good listener...both of your neighbors want to share with you.

Sorry :(

Hi Sue,

I'm sorry to hear about your doggie, loosing your pet is very, very, rough.

I hope you realize you gave her the best 8 years of her life, how forunate you 2 found each other.

As for your neighbors, I would listen to what Hurtheart has to offer.

Hope your feeling better each day, enjoy the BBQs.

What was your dog's name.?

Casper

Me again :-)

Am feeling better today, thanks for the "comments". Its not often l feel down but l guess it was all piling up on top of me but l do feel ok now.
Casper, my dogs name was Maggie & l have no idea what breed she was or even how old she was but she was gorgeous (to us anyway) in truth she was a tatty old mongrel but we gave her a good life which l hope makes up for her first few years.
As for my neighbours? phew! not sure what to do there will see what happens l guess.
Well sun is shining so l am going to do some gardening with my other 2 "mutts" for company,
Thanks again

.................................I've not been long back from a wild weekend in North Yorkshire racing the coastal trail near Whitby...

Sorry that you have lost Pooch...heaven knows that Mrs TM and I have wept buckets over the 40-odd years that we have been married when our Moggies have gone to the big 'Mouse Paradise in the Sky'.

The last one was in 2012 when Shimmy...real name.."Lady Shimano de la Jacaranda Mc Chutney", came to rest at the end of our garden, buried with a bunch of Adidas Thunder Run Medals.

Isnt it wierd that you see the departed pets out of the corner of your eyes ??

A Propos..neighbours....well its a bit of a hiding to nowhere isnt it ??

I think that you have to level with them,..unless they are both resistant to reason, they have to accept that ANY support from a really caring, intelligent friend is much better than unreliable' so called..friends.'

Best wishes, and , again, sorry about Pooch..

TM xx

Thanks Tatman !

Hope you had a good weekend & that the weather was as good as it was here :-)
l must admit l haven't seen Maggie....real name ...Maggie ...out of the corner of my eye yet but thats prob' cos there are two other pooches still eating me out of house & home !!!
Thought of you the other day, we were out for a walk & we came across a man running in all the "Gear" & he had 2 cats running with him, apparantly its a regular thing !!! l remember my last cat used to try & go "Walkies" with the dogs & by the time she got to the top of the road she would throw herself down on the path in an exhausted heap & l would end up having to carry her the rest of the way, used to get some weird looks off people but hey, whats new !!!
