l have been on the outside looking in...............yep l was a victim of the "frozen" spam code but am now totally "defrosted".
It is horrible not being able to communicate with everyone (except those whose email address l have) but l have been able to read the messages but obviously couldn't comment which l am sure was a great relief to most.
Firstly Paul (fishfighter) l truly hope you get some positive news at the hospital tomorrow.

Has anyone had their pacemaker and leads exchanged for the Sure Scan pacer? I am about due for a battery change, but my leads are only 10 years old. I have had some back problems and my doctors want to do an MRI, so they are thinking of doing a lead extraction to replace all of my equipment for the Sure Scan. I'm a little nervous about an extraction. Just wanted to know if anyone has done this yet and get their thoughts.

What is the most important information to put on a medical ID bracelet? Pacemaker for sure, but what else? I am on Xarelto (anticoagulant) too for afib so I will include that.
Appreciate your thoughts.

2 bombs detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. It is being reported that there is a 3rd device. So far no one claiming responsibility.
Prayers for the victims.

Hi All
Firstly, I would like to thank Inga, Don & Ian MC for helping me & explaining about the SA node & how it can recover after ablation. I would like to share my latest news with everyone else, in case anyone else has experienced a similar occurance or in case it helps anyone in the future.
On Thursday last week I found out that my SA (sinus node) is working again. I had 2 ablations near it in 2010 & 2011, for atrial tachycardia, & my SA node got damaged. I ended up with brady...

Hi everyone...I have another question..Today my pacemaker-defib feels like it is popped up highter than usual...Why would it do that? I can really see it today and it has pains around it
It feels tight and hurts some too.I am still feeling the thumping every once in awhile which the rep has tried 2 times to correct that as he said it is a lead laying on the dyaphram.so guess its back to the rep to adjust again..I can also feel my heartrate and before going to be checked by the rep a coup...

Been thru a trying week feeling real bad. Even had to go to the ER Thursday. It took a lot of dope to get my pm and heart back in sync. That took it toll on me big time.
Anyway, the month of April has been hard on me the last couple years. The 18 will make two years with my CRT-D, the 20, I will be 55 years old, the 24 is when my Mom passed away two years ago and on the 30, I loose all health insurance as I knew it in the pass.
So far this month, I had only a couple "good"...

................" Hawkeye" Lee (1915-2008)....His obituary in the Daily Telegraph included this account......
Squadron Leader Hawkeye Lee was a Hurricane pilot who shot down five enemy aircraft in France before being shot and baling out in 1940.
He was forced to bale out again during the Battle of Britain and was taken to a local golf course for a brandy while soldiers waited for his ambulance.
Heavily bloodstained, Lee was at the bar when he overheard a co...

Hi Everyone!!!!
Well I had my surgery for my kidney cancer on March 25th, celebrated my 51st birthday the next day in hospital - just joking as I don't remember a thing. (We are going to celebrate our bday this Sunday at my Mom's.) My twin sister flew in from the United States on April 6th to be with me during my recovery until April 20th since my hubby went back to work.
They took just over 1/5th of my left kidney, sent it away to be analyzed and I don't see the surgeo...

Hello. This forum is wonderful but I am actually interested in looking for a support group that physically meets in person. I live in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Anyone know of one close by? I am interested in ICD or PTSD areas.
Thanks.

Hi, I am a concerned daughter of a mother with a Pm-Icd. She has been having problems with her heart racing after she eats, or atleast that is when she believes it starts. She can not get comfortable because of this. It drives her crazy! So my question is, is this unusal or a common accurance she is having? Does anyone else have this same problem since getting the device?

Just passed my 4 year anniversary - still feeling great. Hope a positive message will help those struggling...
Prayers for my father, Joe. We buried my mother seven weeks ago - seems like yesterday though. Dad was expected to go first - afraid this is going to be a difficult year for my family as he is not doing well either.
Hug your kids, parents, pets whatever you love. Thanks for any spare prayers for Joe.
