Medical ID Bracelet

What is the most important information to put on a medical ID bracelet? Pacemaker for sure, but what else? I am on Xarelto (anticoagulant) too for afib so I will include that.

Appreciate your thoughts.

medical bracelet

Hi! There are different opinions about wearing a bracelet or not, as well as different opinions about what: info to include if you do. Mine simply states I am a heart patient. I am that for life now, so
it is permanent info. Other info that is subject to change, like medications, I keep written down separately. I also carry my device info card. Hope this helps you a little in your decision. Hopeful Heart

Wondering the same thing

by Deppygore - 2013-04-16 11:04:51

Hi, I'm glad you posted this as I've been wondering the same thing. I don't have meds but am not sure if my EPs name and # should go on it, as well as the type of pm since mine is MRI conditional. The wallet card isn't enough for me. The poor EMT would have to dig through the diaper bag to find my wallet. :)

Another point of view

Complete waste of time. Don't put anything on it , better still don't get one at all (unless you are keen to increase the profits of the bracelet manufacturers !)

I am sill waiting foe someone to send a post on here saying " I was so glad I was wearing my bracelet because ............... "

Ian bracelet-free and happy !

I am going to first appt. at the Pacemaker Clinic tomorrow morning and I will ask. I will also ask my retired fireman friend.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
