Been thru a trying week feeling real bad. Even had to go to the ER Thursday. It took a lot of dope to get my pm and heart back in sync. That took it toll on me big time.
Anyway, the month of April has been hard on me the last couple years. The 18 will make two years with my CRT-D, the 20, I will be 55 years old, the 24 is when my Mom passed away two years ago and on the 30, I loose all health insurance as I knew it in the pass.
So far this month, I had only a couple "good" days. I been searching the world over for health insurance for myself and my wife. May 1st, I fall under Medicare and with a heart transplant in my future, I have to have plan "F". At my age, that is another $400 a month along with paying plan "B" and plan"D". Also, being a Vet, I'm trying to get help from the VA just for my meds. I not, that will cost me over $1200 a month, even after paying part "D" plan.
So it has been a trying month.
Any vets here use medical care thru the VA office?
Take care and hope everyone has a good day,
Paul

Hope you feeling well and having good days.
My God, insurance is just so, well I don't want to go there.LOL
Before you get listed, if you are getting Medicare, I'm sure the transplant team told you that you will need Plan F. That will take care of all cost that plan A&B doesn't pay.
I got mine thru Blue Cross. It is set at age groups and I happen to be only 54. Cost me a little over $350 a month. 65 and over, it drops to $165. This is in Louisiana. Each state has the same plan per the Feds, but different cost.
I shopped the world over for health insurance. So, if you need any info, let me know.
Thank care, Paul

I'm sorry you are going through such a tough time right now. You are a fighter and I hope better days are in your near future.
As for your health insurance woes, I'm going through the same thing right now with Medicare. My husband had to give up his health insurance because they kept raising the premiums so high, we couldnt afford it.
It is so unfair that we live in America, "the land of opportunity," but we can't even take care of our health! Something has to change here. There, I got that off my chest! :)
Take care, Cathy
