Any Ideas re: Palpitations & Flutterings

Hi:

It has been over 4 months since I received the pacemaker and I've had Palpitation & Fluttering sensations much of that time, I informed my cardiologist & his associate. Since May, I've now had an Xray to see if any abnormal placement occurred, worn a Holter monitor and the ECG didn't indicate any reason why this is happening. Nothing wrong was found. (Which is good)

Have you ever heard of radiation from recurrent ablations causing difficulty with fertility? I'm 28 and I've been trying to conceive for about a year with no success. I know it's not a long time, but after 7 ablations and 2 pacemaker surgeries, I've been thinking... Should I be concerned?

Head/Neck pressure and headaches.

Hi PM fellows . .
I have been reading as much as I can on the above symptoms that I have been experiencing and would appreciate any feed back.

Triclosan is a chemical used in many products especially mouthwash toothpaste and soap but also in cleaners and lipstick etc.
It combines with the chlorine in water to form Chloroform which is a carcinogen. However the bad news for us is that it affects the heart muscle and reduces its strength. Even in very low exposure rates that humans experience in everyday life.I have checked all my products and cut my exposure by 75%. whats up with my PM

I had a AV block so i can't live without a Pm. But since i had it put in in 2010 everything was ok for about 2 week that was when i went to the dr's office to get it checked..then i started getting like a shock under my left rib hard ones.
now everymorning at 4:30 am it happens, i have to get up and move around until it stops, Dr said a lead must be on a nerve??? i'm sick and tired.. has anyone else had this problem?

Be aggressive

I was a pacemaker rep. for 20 years (retired due to back surgery in 1999). Happenned upon this site because I had my spinal cord stimulator replaced a few weeks ago and suspect I have a pocket hematoma. Will call office of surgeon tomorrow (saw him last week for staple removal) to check it.

Though I've been out of the business for 13 years, a pocket is still a pocket.

2 questions

i have 2 questions.the 1st question,kinda weird,has anyone ever felt like they are getting electricuted when pushing shopping carts.the other day it rained all day and when i was at a store and pushing a metal cart i kept feeling like i was getting electricuted in the arm near my pacemaker.and the other question,i've had the pm for a month now and recently i've been feeling alot of burning type sensation in the shoulder area and my arm feels tingly and feels like i've lost some strength in it.

I keep having chest pain

They put my PM in almost 2 weeks ago attempting to control tachy/cardy syndrome and afib. There was also an issue of a 20 second asystole. Since then, I have been to the emergency room twice with chest pains on the same side the leads are implanted that runs up my shoulder and even my neck. The VA did a stress test, echo, and perfussion test last time that all showed perfect - normal EKG with no blocages or ischemia. But the pain persisted. It went away after a day and a half. Sleep Problem

Is it normal to experience sleep problems after PM implantation? Does this go away after a while? I am finding it impossible to stay asleep for a whole night. I don't even know why. I'm not in afib, tachy, or having palps. I just wake up.

PM adjustment

I got a St Jude Medical's PM 2 weeks ago, I am feeling lightheaded always when I am moving around and driving, My sensitivities on seeing and touching thing compare to before seem difference little. how long will it be back to usual or to get use with it.
How long I shall wait to resume my sexual life, sport, especially golf .I am 62 yrs old.
Prior to receive PM, my heart rate is between 35-40 at rest, while moving is above 60 to 80 usually. Now, the Doctor have set my heart rate at 7...

Very upset!

Hey guys,

I'm sure whoever has been reading my posts I had a EXternal pm put in which was on the outside of my chest for a trail run. It was pacing 40 percent of the time and I was feeling great! I have been taking care of the bandages around my pm and cleaning it like I was instructed to do. Feeling lightheaded when entering Supermarket door

Hi,

Has anyone had the symptoms my dad complains of?  He appears to look very pasty and feels lightheaded when he enters shopping centres or magnetic doorways in supermarkets. 

He has to sit down immediately after entering.  I didn’t believe him but I have recently witnessed it for myself.  He also complains of leg and hip pains at this time.  Strange symptoms.

low blood plateletes

I am using PM implanted since 2003.  In 2005 my Hematologist found low platelets on my blood test.  Right now I am on 118 and lowering. 

Yesterday, July 31/2012, he ordered a Medule Suction to find the problem.  Should it be the possibility that it be produced by the PM batteries or electronic circuits on it?

Complication post installation of Pacemaker

I have been implanted with a dual chamber pacemaker 3 weeks back. After getting relieved from hospital, I am suffering from a chest pain in right side of my chest. After complaining to the doctor, I have been asked for a chest X Ray and being told a clear chest. Still I am suffering from a right side chest pain. Can anybody guide me in this regard.

Pacemaker Migrating

Hi All,

Anyone else here notice discomfort in the area of their pacemaker four months after it was inserted?

Mine seems to have slipped about 3/4" downwards from where it first was, and it feels to me like the weight of it is now mostly supported by the wires coming out of the top and inserted into my veins. (I have also lost 9kg since I had it put in, so it could be that there is a lot less 'meat' around it now.)

Rapid heart rate with plapitations!

Hey guys I haven't been on in awhile .. I have been feeling okay lately .. Until yesterday. I was laying down and my heart started going crazy when I took my pulse it was 165 resting.
