Please help

My husband he is 40 had his ICD Defibrillator put in Dec 23 2010

fed up

Need Advice...Should I move it to under muscle?

Hi, I had my pacemaker implanted under the skin on July 20th this year. I have been doing very well with it until the last 10 days or so. Now, I find it very irritating to my skin and pain around the area where the pacemaker is located. Since my surgery, I've lost between 25-30 pounds, so my body has changed signifcantly. I had gastric bypass last year and I've lost 115 pounds in the last 11 months and am now a normal weight-maybe even a tad underweight. I'm also having some back problems...

Sore arm

On week 3 since getting PM and am having a lot of pain in my left arm. Went to the dr's last week and they ruled out a blood clot as the reason. The dr. Said they had a difficult time getting one of the leads through the vein they usually use and had to use another. He said the pain may be caused by swelling around the vein where the lead went in. Just wondering if anyone else has had this same issue. Thank you.

Erratic

Hi everyone,

I wonder if you could give me some advice. I’ve had a dual chamber PM fitted for heart block for just over a year now. Had no problems with it. Had a check up recently and everything is fine. pacemaker making a ring sound

Have not been feeling well. Over the last six months several different crazy symptons.
- 3 or 4 times feels like my heart just pauses and I feel like passing out-earlier on symptoms
-short of breath at times

Complications

I am new to this site and am looking for some advice. I am a 50 yr old female and I had a Medtronic Dual Lead Pacemaker installed about 3 weeks ago. Since that time, I have been having trouble with increased heart rate (above 100) when walking short distances and also major palpitations and irregular heartbeat. Muscle pain at device site

Hello all! It's been a while since I posted... hope everyone is well:-)

Was wondering if anyone has ever experienced muscle pain where your pacemaker is implanted? It's been over two years since my surgery, and have not had pain since the first 3 or 4 weeks. It feels like I pulled something but have not done anything that would have caused a muscle strain. It just feels weird, and I'm wondering if anyone else has felt something similar. Thanks!

Feels like palpitations

I had my pm placed July of this year. It was a real shocker considering I was only 29 yo at the time (turned 30 in august). Learned that I had a second degree heart block and within 2 weeks had the pm placed. I was feeling so good until a few weeks ago. Started feeling more tired, and felt like I was having occasional palpitations, however when I check my pulse its running about 80-90 bpm. Hi. I am new to this site. I have just joined. I was looking around on the web for answers to my questions when I found this. I have an IPG implant and it was the replacement for a Kappa 2000. I was incarcerated during the time of the replacement. I still believe this is why they chose to put a " lesser" model in place of the existing one. shortness of breathe and chest tightness

Hi all, my mom had an mri safe pacemaker put in on Fri this past week. Dr said he was 90% sure thats what was going. She also suffers from gastro paresis and fibro. Which im sure can complicate things aswell. Anyway pacemaker is doing its job but still has tightness and shortness of breathe going upstairs. Pacemaker post Ablation

I had my first Pacemaker implant in 2000, after a failed ablation for atypical atrial flutter, had a few AF events, followed by 8 years event free. Second implant in 2008 (Altrua 50, basic rate 75 - DDDR), ever since have had AF events leading to an Ablation in August 2012. Back to work - hit the wall

I finally went back to work this week after being gone for 2 1/2 months following PM implantation and repair of a lead that peirced my heart. I trim tres out of electric lines, go the job is very physical, but I've been doing it since '98. I'm 57 years old, so I'm not a spring chicken any more, but they don't expect me to perform at the level of a 20 year old anyway. Body vibratory and tingling sensations

Had PM implanted Feb 2012. Have had AF for 10 years. Controlled heart rate and BP with meds and exercise. PM eliminated the need for BP medications but post surgery sensations such s tingling and vibrtating are very bothersome nd ths cardiologist and family doctor have no expianation. However, the sensation is real and is very sleep disruptive. Has anybody experienced these sensations?

Clot

Hi my dear friends. I am really happy and proud for being one of the members in the club. I had my pm 2 months ago. 4 days after the implant, I had a clot in my left arm and now I am taking warfrain 5 mg and the Dr told me that I might take it for 4 more months. My arm is bigger than the other one and weak and hurt I don't feel comfortable at all. Any one had the same problem, please I need your advise.

infection

I have had my pacemaker since March of 2011 it has always been uncomfortable for me but recently I have constant pain in that area. I am wondering if an infection could be developing or something else is wrong. I am very skinny so the implant has dropped quite a bit and you can see the wires through my skin. Thanks for listening
