Hi caderock .. The first question every heart patient asks is ..Why ? Why me ? What has caused it ?

Cardiologists must hate the questions because they hardly ever know why. Nobody really knows the cause of your high blood pressure , and when it comes to electrical problems of the heart it is a bit like asking your TV engineer " Why did the TV break down ? "

Drs fob us off with answers like "Old age" or "Wear and tear " because they don't really know why hearts suddenly cause problems . Your PM has probably nothing to do with your recent problems; they would probably have happened anyway.

The biggest cause of many heart problems are the genes you were born with, so blame your mother and father ( or your grandparents ! ).. certainly cardiomyopathy can be an inherited condition.

.... by the way, in answer to the next question which you posted I think it is absolutely fine to have 3 whiskies a week...enjoy !

Best wishes

Ian

Everything wasn't fine or you wouldn't have a pm. Sometimes it's just aging, sometimes the condition that caused you to need the pm was the first symptom, sometimes it's genes, sometimes it's lifestyle choices catching up with you. We can be doing damage for years and years before we see symptoms of it.

High blood pressure

I had it when they admitted me to the hospital

Started taking meddling and is usually good

Sort of a side effect maybe

You know you're wired when...

Your signature looks like an EKG.
