Hi all, my mom had an mri safe pacemaker put in on Fri this past week. Dr said he was 90% sure thats what was going. She also suffers from gastro paresis and fibro. Which im sure can complicate things aswell. Anyway pacemaker is doing its job but still has tightness and shortness of breathe going upstairs. I called her cardiologist beacause she is to stubborn to do it her self and he was able to fit her in. After the mtg with dr she was readmitted to the hospital for bloodwork and xray to rule out heart attack and heart disease....bloodwork and xrays both came back negative. before the pacemaker she already had nuclear testing done and everything came back fine.
As im typing we are planning transport to a hospital that can do a catheterization test to absolutely rule out blockages. Dr believes its about a 15% chance thats the cause. The only other test would be an echocardiagram. Has anyone else had these symptoms, and with any luck found a cause? Mom claims shes not anxious...

So everything has come back negative. cardiologist who did the catheterization says her heart is clean as a whistle. He's says to talk to primary and start looking in another direction. The Ekg is still abnormal even with the pacemaker...so now what? She does have an echocardiogram next week, but I'm assuming the cath would have shown more than the echo. Anyone know or have any ideas?
