infection

I have had my pacemaker since March of 2011 it has always been uncomfortable for me but recently I have constant pain in that area. I am wondering if an infection could be developing or something else is wrong. I am very skinny so the implant has dropped quite a bit and you can see the wires through my skin. Thanks for listening

If it's infected, you'd have fever, swelling, red streaks, things like that. If it's shifted, it's likely causing the discomfort. When in doubt, get your dr to take a look.
