I have a tattoo that I want to have covered up. I have a pacemaker and am on blood thinners. Had two heart attacks and a pacemaker put in 8 months ago. It will be where the pacemaker is. Has anyone ever had this done? I know what my doctor says, I still want to know of anyone that has actually had this done and what their experience was. Thanks for the input.

Hey Gang,
What happens if you accidentally get too close to one of the grocery store detectors, you know at the entrance or exit, and hear a beeping sound? I'm only paced at 50.

Does anybody know if there is a correlation between Heart Rate and Blood Pressure? If so, which one comes first? My husband has had his pacemaker for 6 years with no complications. Lately, we have noticed that when he feels pressure on his chest, his systolic blood pressure is in the 90's and his heart rate is 80 -not 79, not 81. 80. I have posted a more detailed message about his case which can be read at the following link

Hello Everyone, Hope all is well. I just joined this group, Thank you. I was wondering if anyone has heard of some sort of protection that my husband can wear over his shoulder maybe to cover his PM/DEFIB so he may be able to work with his woodworking machines. I have read that working with certain machines he needs to stand 2ft away! That will make it impossible for him to operate the machines from that distance! If anyone can help me with an answer that would be wonderful!
Thank you

Hello, I am wondering if you all can give me some advice. Like I have posted before, I am new to the pacemaker club. April 3rd is when I had my PM implanted after being diagnosed with Mobitz 2. I have never had any health problems before and the Dr's do not know why this happened. My boyfriend and his family (MAJOR health nuts) are determined to prove that the Dr's were wrong and that I should have had a second opinion while I was in the hospital. (Even though my Dr asked everyone he could in th...

Hi! I'm new to the community, having just gotten my implant last week. I don't know of anyone in my life who also has a pacemaker, so I'm eager to read as much advice here from people who have experienced life with a device.
I'm 39 and already a bit weary of well-meaning friends and family saying, "You're too young for a pacemaker!" or "What sort of bad lifestyle has lead you to need that?!" I'm guessing there are many of us here who have heard those comments and learned to shrug...

I've had a PM for Bradycardia for about 7 months and I'm not on any medication. I feel fine while I maintain a high level of exercise, but if I stop or reduce the exercise then my body very quickly starts to feel run down. It's difficult to describe the exact symptoms, but it's like an internal flywheel loses momentum and everything inside of me starts to run down if I stop exercising for more than a couple of days. I get drained of energy and dizzy/light headed with a continual (low level) back...

I was told to weigh every day and ordered a digital scale that does a lot of things regular scales don't do. When I started reading the instructions on how to set it the 1st thing was do not use if you have a pacemaker. Do any of you use a digital scale or know anything about them.

I went back and searched a few previous posts concerning short term memory loss. Went back as far as 2008, saw quite a few people claiming to have experienced this, but never saw a cause. Like most of the posters, I never passed out or lost consciousness. I do realize now that I had bradycardia for quite some time, at least two years before I received my PM. Before the implant, I had what some people refer to as a photographic memory, especially when it came to numbers and memory using mnemonic...
