Epsom salt bath

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if I can take epsom salt bath with having a pacemaker? And also, if anyone has any experiences with using L-arginine and/or Taurine to eliminate PVC/PAC, Afib, or all types of tachycardia. I appreciate any feedback. Thank you and wish you all well.

Becoming a police officer

I am 18 years old and I have a defibrillator, I have always wanted to get into the law enforcement field and I don't know if I can do that anymore because of my device. I would like to know if anyone has any info. on whether or not I can still become a police officer with an implanted defibrillator. Thankyou

Thank You (from Pookie)

Well I had just over 1/5th of my left kidney removed due to cancer on March 25th. Spent my 51st bday in hospital - March 26th. Twin sister flew in from the United States on April 6th (I live in Canada) and she stayed with me for 2 weeks during my recovery. I miss her already and she only left 2 days ago. I'm doing much better than I ever expected...physically. I see the surgeon next week. I don't think I will have to have radiation or chemo. Still quite sore, but now mobile.

permanent PM reinstalled

Hi
I have underwent my battery replacement on my 8 year Biotronik Phylos DR today and replaced by new Biotronik Evia DR. During the procedure one of the assistants told me, having been questioned that my PM is working 100% and actually my heart is solely working through the PM, I could not verify this with a doctor,so I wonder if this statement is true?
Does the heart only work as long as the PM does and has it actually stopped beating by itself- sounds strange?
Thanks for info

Hi all

Just checking in. I'm shocked to see that Frank passed away.
God speed Frank.

Well I'm still in the hospital. They are still pumping meds in for the infection. At the same time they are reducing the dobutamine. I do feel tired all the time now with only one more day with the dobutamine left.

Just maybe I might get out an a couple days

Take care and God Bless,
Paul

Thank You

Hello Friends,

Thank you for all the congratulations and advice on Dotties's and my 64 years of wedded bliss. (Is that what you call it?) Anyway we have had a few days of celebration and that is about all the old folks can handle.

I did get one question that I would like to answer. Ronaldo asked if I gave advice on women - or something to that effect - and my answer is not often but I will do it here because it is very simple. You have to learn to use only a few stateme...

Checking In

Hi old friends,
I haven't been back to visit in a long time. Sometimes I think I "do better" when I live in a world where I pretend I don't have a PM lol. But I wanted to stop in and say hi and say that I am saddened by Frank's passing. He was a wonderful stranger who always helped me out. Makes me want to be that way for others. So I pledge to be back often......I need to pay it forward more and help others to pay respect for all the angels that helped me.

See you SOON!

Frank Passed Away Last Week

Hello, my name is John and I am Franks son. Frank passed away last week. I know he truly enjoyed being a part of the pacemaker club. He did not die from a failing heart or defective pacemaker. In fact I'm certain he would have wanted this post to actually read, "Slightly used pacemaker for sale. Perfectly calibrated and only slightly used. Installation instructions included. Sold as is."

While Frank was in great health for 82 he was also in a fair amount of pain. He chose to leave thi...

Ping Pong Ball

Since I began having shortness of breath two years ago it seems neither the cardiologist nor the pulmonologist can say why. I keep getting volleyed back and forth between them. Had a PM for bradycardia in 2011 but no other heart problems. Have mild asthma. Went for pulmonary rehab. Am overweight. Anyone find themselves in similar position?

Hello people

I've just joined so I've decided to post a message. It's interesting to see that so many people have a pacemaker as well as me and the only person I know who also has one is my brother.

New here

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting. I am 25 and learned today that I will be getting a pacemaker placed next month. My official diagnosis is syncope from carotid sinus hypersensitivity. I did a 24-hour holter monitor last week and today my EP told me that I had several periods where my heart dropped to 30 (one of these times my heart "paused" for a few seconds, he said). He also mentioned that my heart was randomly "adding a beat".

I feel much better about my proce...

"Mr TM, your heart has recovered so well that you are on minimum demand...so how about I book you in for a replacement in ......2023 ?"

I dont know whos' grin was bigger,..his or mine..........
