botox

Had my second round of Botox for chronic migraines, Doc told me one of the side affects is nerve pains in odd places. Well yesterday I started having that sharp zing down the inside of my left arm it was pulsing with my heart beat, yes I checked it , about an hour later did it again, made my arm twich. coughing

I have had my pacemaker for 2 years now..a medtronic. I have a couple of questions. I seem to have a spurt of coughing at different times..I am not sick with a cold ...can the cough be related to my pacemaker? The other question is I seem to be feeling tired lately a lot. Can my pacemaker be adjusted for that. I am seeing my cardiologist tomorrow.

Grrrrrrrrr !!!

Sorry but l need to rant, and although not entirely PM related it is a heart issue.
25yrs ago l had a heart valve replaced (very sucessfully) & since then l have seen a cardiologist every August & had an "echo" every Feb', so basically the findings of the echo were explained to me at the cardio's appt' & it meant l was being "checked" every 6mths.
Feb' has been & gone & no appt for echo so l called the hospital & was called back & told l will have an appt to see cardio' in July & my ec...

any luck?

Has anyone had any luck with symptom improvement from acupuncture? I have low blood volume which brings along with it: hypotension, pots, and tachycardia. I've had my pm for a couople of years now and haven't had any luck with beta blockers and other meds. I have an appointment and after talking with my doctor we have decided to stop all of my medication since I have been on it so long that we don't know what is and isn't working anymore. first check omg!!!

Hi everyone well been for my check 3 days post op and all is well and working i was quiet shocked to say the least when i was told am been passed both top and bottom 50% of the time!!! i was told i would prob only use it occationally i must admite i feel more alert lol also i dont feel it when it kicks in as expected too so alls good in kimbo ticker land just need to recover from the surgery now.

I have 7 tats that ive gotten over the past 20 some off years. I am now looking at getting a tattoo on my inner left arm. I was wondering what you all thought of this...is not on or near the pacemaker and I wouldnt put it anywhere on my chest..again on my inner left arm?

Hi everyone I got a question for anyone who know. Morning everyone

Just a short update. I'm back home, but have to return back to New Orleans tomorrow for a new hickman line.

Bad new was dropped on me Friday. At this point, my transplant team wants me to go under hospice care. That is throwing in the towel, but I'm not ready to give up.

I had my family over last night. Broke the law and boiled a bunch of Crawfish, shrimp and snow crabs along with all the fixings. Was great eatting something I'm not suppost to. All that salt is a big no no...

weak and pain

Yesterday I woke, I couldn't function. Passed out. I was so cold pale felt as if there were no heart beat. Today got up with severe pain in or around pace maker leads and battery. Numbness in my arm, chest pain and freezing cold to touch. I can't afford doctors again yet.

Query re "ticking"

Just got a pacemaker one week ago.....just checking (because the cardiologist said it was "between my ears", but is it normal to FEEL this thing firing? Sometimes it feels like a clock in my chest...tick, tick, tick...it is disconcerting. Sometimes I am not aware of it at all. Then a few times it has felt like something FLICKED at me! one very noticeable snap. And not between my ears.

finaly made it!!

Hi everyone
just got home after finaly getting my pm did it with just a local no sedation took 2 hrs was not as bad as i expected but glad its over hopfully will end my symptoms i have 2 leads took him awhile to get the best position the leads were then screwed in i must say though when he was messing with leads causing dropped beats and loads of ectopics the central chest pain was nasty worst bit about it for me and i get bouts of this still now more central pain than pacer site im takin...

settings

Iread alot about the settings for your pacemaker. my lower setting was 80,but I was not told what high setting was. today my pulse rate was 100 beats per minute I wondered if this was normal, I was not doing any thing unsual just regular house work. I also had early beats that feels like skips, could this higher heart rate be the pacemaker kicking in ? thanks for any help on this question.
