Query re "ticking"

Just got a pacemaker one week ago.....just checking (because the cardiologist said it was "between my ears", but is it normal to FEEL this thing firing? Sometimes it feels like a clock in my chest...tick, tick, tick...it is disconcerting. Sometimes I am not aware of it at all. Then a few times it has felt like something FLICKED at me! one very noticeable snap. And not between my ears.

What I had

sounds similar to what youve described.
I was having some odd feeling after coming home too,and ended up in the ER 10 days post op,had an interrogation done, and a local cardio had the tech change the settings,I think they turned off the rate response,if I remember correctly.I also was having alot of anxiety issues(first time for me) and was put on a beta blocker. It did feel better, the adjustment they made did make a big change for the better.
I felt a snapping or pinching in the middle of my chest, like my breastbone, and it felt crappy.
After the change in setting, that was gone.
Might want to see if you can get it looked at,alot of people here have talked about the factory settings they have the Pm set at,and it sometimes needs to be adjusted.

thanks....

so is an "interrogation" where they check the PM with their computer? I am going to the first post-insertion check-in tomorrow and will tell them what I have felt.
Thank you for taking the time to answer!

interrogation...

cb... just thought I'd add this... I'm new at this as well, but I've learned that you'll probably get more info from the pm tech than from your dr... they actually spend more time with you... think of things to ask the tech when they ck out your pm...tell the tech about what you are feeling, and think of any questions you couild ask before going to get the "interrogation"...I still feel little shocks and tingles, and don't really know what they are all about... as time goes by, I'm feeling more confident about things... so tell the tech about your concerns... ask about different settings...
you never mentioned why you had the pm installed...
good luck at the checkup...
