I have had my pacemaker for 2 years now..a medtronic. I have a couple of questions. I seem to have a spurt of coughing at different times..I am not sick with a cold ...can the cough be related to my pacemaker? The other question is I seem to be feeling tired lately a lot. Can my pacemaker be adjusted for that. I am seeing my cardiologist tomorrow.
Any info would be great. Thanks

Coughing

Hello J Whalen,
There are some heart medications I have had prescribed, especially Ace inhibitors, that will cause me to cough. Also, congestive heart failure can cause coughing. My PM could not be adjusted to help my coughing, but that is not say your's can't be made to help you. However, I'll bet your dr can answer your question.
Good luck,
Smitty

Perhaps you may care to list medications as I found these could cause coughing to the extent I was diagnosed with asthma which I do not have, mt
