battery

Hi I have just joined your club tody and have a question how long does your battery usually last before you need a replacement? I have had my pacemaker in for just under 10 years. I got it put in 1 week after my 20th birthday and the nurse's say that it can last over 12 years has anyone else had 1 last that long?

I asked the nurse that does my phone checks. She stated it depended on usage. I got a new one about 2 years ago, with new technolgy the battery will last longer than my last one and its smaller.
