Morning everyone

Just a short update. I'm back home, but have to return back to New Orleans tomorrow for a new hickman line.

Bad new was dropped on me Friday. At this point, my transplant team wants me to go under hospice care. That is throwing in the towel, but I'm not ready to give up.

I had my family over last night. Broke the law and boiled a bunch of Crawfish, shrimp and snow crabs along with all the fixings. Was great eatting something I'm not suppost to. All that salt is a big no no. LOLOh, I did drink a few beers too!

Once everyone ate, that is when the wife and I told everyone. Was a killer of the party somewhat, but it had to be done.

Anyway, God bless and take care,
Paul

Hi! What a dinner! Nothing like a low country style seafood boil, especially with the family. Glad you enjoyed it. Do take care and eat healthy though. Let us here from you soon. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Hopeful Heart

Good Morning to you too, Paul. I just read your update to my retired cardiac nurse (Wife Sharon). She said, "Right On" Over all her years of caring of patients, it always made her feel good to see someone with the proper attitude of dealing with their shortcomings.

I guess I envy you so much in being able to bring positive messages for so many negative personal things happening to you. Keep up the messages as our Prayers are also with you. God Bless You Paul !!

Up for no reason at 3:30am. Woke up all sweaty and wet. Guess I had ran a fever last night. Thanks all for your thoughs and prays.

I will be heading to New Orleans in a couple hours for the hickman replacement. Another week of hurting. This will be the 5th one in 14 months. For some reason, my body keeps rejecting them now ever though I keep the area clean along with home bound nurses. The infection happens every time inside the hickman or at the end of it where a growth grows. The doctors told me there is no way my body would work with an LVAD due to this. That, and it would be a very big chance the my body would reject a heart transplant.

That is the reason behine putting me on hospice care now.

Take care,
Paul
