Hope all been feeling good.
Myself, been feeling on the better side.LOL Anyway, yesterday was a good day with some good news, but had that same news in the pass. After a bunch of test, blood sucking and another ultrasound, I was a bit tired. After everything was in, the doctor told me he had some good news that my blood work was a bit better and that my EF was up to 15% from 12%. My heart swelling did go down some too! Which is a very good thing over all. Only problem about this is t...

Picture the scene:
An intimate table for two in a bijou restaurant.
John:...."Darling how come you are so unspeakably gorgeous and at the same time just a bit dippy"?
Mary....."Sweetheart thats so easy to answer,...God made me gorgeous so thay you would be attracted to me"
John..."Er..yes" ??
Mary..." And God made me a bit stupid so that I would be attracted to YOU"

I think another great item for the Pacemaker Club to offer would be one of those back scratchers since we've all experienced the need to scratch and been challenged. The back scratcher would have the Pacemaker Club logo on it of course. Any thoughts ? Eric

This has happened to me a couple of times:
After composing a post, I enter the letters requested by the spam filter...it tells me I’ve entered them incorrectly...I hit the back button and my post has vanished. That might be the way Pacemaker club tests your blood pressure, pulse, and quite possibly the temperature of your blood, remotely.
Since then I’ve been composing my post as an email, then copy and paste...Eric

I was put on Metpropol also. My problem was a Slow rate now I have a Fast rate and losing my breath and dizzy spells. What the heck??
How long does it take to get back to some r...

I got my rate response pacemaker in april due to bradycardia. I'm only atrial paced. I've been having alot of premature beats. Which makes me feel crappy. I was pacing a bit high so my EP turned down my setting. And I still feel pretty bad. They can't give me the beta blockers because I'm 3 months pregnant. Shouldn't my pacemaker have fixed stuff like this? I'm not sure whats going on and what I should do.

I have been reading the posts here on Pacemaker Club for several months now, and have found the site to be both a source of encouragement and a valuable reference; and I would like to thank all those who take the time to reply to all the enquires, it is very generous and kind of you. I have however; refrained from posting until now, as I feel quite unqualified to answer the many enquiries here, at the end of the day I am only really an expert on my own story. Many of us, not surprisingly, share...

In 22 years of appointments and ops (many) for my daughter and myself (in UK) I have only ever had to phone if i wanted to CHANGE appointment, and i NEVER had to phone to confirm it!!! But I just read letter re pacemaker and it said I should ring Admissions to confirm......(but I had letter in same envelope as Pre-assessment date but I guess that makes no difference as Admissions are the office part of it....bottoms....now won't sleep because of my mistake but still better go in tomorrow, but I...

We all love to hear, get, read Gratitudes daily. Without this site and being a member since about May, 2009, I have met so many new Friends who are so educated in experience and in years with their heart challenges and pacemakers that I turn to them for quick answers/advice before waiting on a doctor to call me back ~ I was relunctant to post/comment on the PM Site when I first discovered this wonderful support group, but boy, when I did, just ask all the 'oldies but goodies' on here if I didn'...

I am new to this web site today. I had an extensive myocardial infraction (widow maker) on October 1, 2011. ICD put in January 4, 2012.
My question is about Coreg.
I have been taking 3.125 Coreg (cut in half and taken twice a day). The reason that I am on such a low dose is my sensitivity to Coreg (and other medications). My pulse rate is low normally (in 50s) and could not handle more when I started on it 8 months ago. Research and my Doctor are telling me that being on more may pr...

My wife has had her PC for 1 1/2 month now. We went hiking yesterday and she went to pull herself up over some rocks. When she did she pushed the PC into her collar bone, which was painful. Now it looks like it may have moved under her skin.
Has anyone had this happen? Thanks

Went for my 12mth check-up with my extremely arrogant cardiologist to discover he had retired, whoopee!!!
And then l met his replacement...................placed his stethoscope on my chest for maybe 3seconds, didnt even check my pulse & that was it !!!!
When the nurse brought in my records, he never even looked at them, know idea what his name was, maybe he was the cleaner who knows???
Think l would have got more info at the local garage :-))
Then l got a phone call to say...

I am a little over a month out now. I hear about people having so much energy after receiving their implant. I seem to get pretty tired, but in fairness I'm sure I'm pretty deconditioned. Is there any kind of cardiac rehab prescribed typically. I didn't think I was all that fatigued before implantation . I had general anesthesia if that makes a difference. Site is still red and a little tender is that par for the course generally speaking? Thanks.

Hello everyone...I thought it would be interesting to read some of the funny or bizarre experiences we have had with doctors, nurses, or hospitals. I'm sure we all have some.
One of mine was when the ER doctor listened to my heart and then went over to the metal garbage can in the room and starting pounding on it like he was playing the drums! I asked him what he was doing!!?? He said, that is what your heart sounds like! Needless to say I am glad he wasn't the cardiologist! :)

Hello all, I had my PM put in 5 days ago and was wondering if it's ok to get the site wet now? My wife has beed covering it when I shower but would like to take a shower without the cover. When did you take full showers and let the water get on your incision? Thak you for any answers.
