Pacemaker

In 22 years of appointments and ops (many) for my daughter and myself (in UK) I have only ever had to phone if i wanted to CHANGE appointment, and i NEVER had to phone to confirm it!!! But I just read letter re pacemaker and it said I should ring Admissions to confirm......(but I had letter in same envelope as Pre-assessment date but I guess that makes no difference as Admissions are the office part of it....bottoms....now won't sleep because of my mistake but still better go in tomorrow, but I dont think I phoned them....feel horrid!!!!!!
Was so worried re implantion, now failure has taken over, does anyone think that because I had pre-assessment that my appointment is confirmed?

Looking back at daughters admissions (rather than appointments) looks like you DO need to phone to confirm (I must have done so, yet I don't remember!) oh well.....we shall see......(shows how stressed I have been recently, I have made other mistakes that I would never normally make....sorry, I just need to get put my frustration but hopefully next time I post here it will be more constructive and useful for others re how op (eventually) went :-)

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
