Hi
Had my PM fitted a year ago in the Philippines, SSS heart rate done to low 20's pass out.
Several questions.
A) 2 weeks ago I got pains in my chest and what felt like electrical shocks down my arm. I thought my PM was discharging and went to get it checked. All OK. The Dr thought it was caused by a damaged nerve. I'm still in pain, had since the op,though not a lot 1-2 out of 10. The Dr's think it was because a nerve or 2 got damaged during the op. Has anyone else had this expe...

For the most part three leads have been good since I was implanted in November 2012. Now they say my right lead is building scar tissue and needs to be replaced. Not looking forward to no raising the arm for 30 days and using my left had for everything.

I have been having my symptoms come back. I am blacking out again and having many episodes of Inappropriate Sinus Tech. My doctor is looking at doing a second sinus node modification. I was wondering who had to have a pacemaker due to this procedure. And what I should be aware of going into this a second time. Should I have a pacemaker picked out and have this conversation ahead of time with my doctor? Or is there a good chance that I wont have to have a pacemaker yet. I was just wondering who h...

Hi Everyone out there in pacer land.
Thank you for all your comments over the last few days, Unfortunately I have only had a chance to read them now as only just arrived home from hospital at Concord in sydney, I was taken by ambulance late Sunday nite with pain in the chest and racing heart which scared the bejesus out of me I must say.
After being in emergency for a while and numerous tests, vampires taking my blood etc the Dr in charge rang my cardioligist and discussed with him my...

Just received my first PM two weeks ago. The same itchy rash that everyone else has, started the day after I came home. A friend, who is a doctor said she thought it was from the solution they spread all over the incision. Thinking now from reading everything it was probably the tape.
I gently let water run over the entire thing like they told me to when I took my showers. Tape fell off yesterday. Still itching despite being told to use Benedyl spray. So happy I found this site,...

I received a Medtronic Adapta on 1/16/2013 and although the normal pain afterwards I felt amazing. Well until about 2 weeks later. I went from being able to do long walks again and normal life activities to waking up about 4am with a sharp pain shooting from the middle of my chest up the right side of my neck to my shoulder down into my right arm. Took some asprin and it went away. Later that day I had a clinic appointment with my military docs and they sent me to the ER because I started screa...

Sorry to bother you all yet again but yesterday I had to go back to ER for severe Palplations and feeling like my heart was just not beating right when I stood up and tried to walk, couldn't even do it.
Biotronik guy came in downloaded pacemaker and found everything to be working fine. I am so utterly shaken and find myself so anxious as to what is going on. The pacer is not picking up what I am feeling and that really bothers me.
I also have pots which is a blood pressur...

I have lost over 6st since my pm was implanted, so now as I turn in bed the unit seems to come out of its pocket and flip maybe as much as 130 degrees - all very disturbing, in fact it makes me feel sick. I started worrying that I would flip it over completely coming out of sleep and trying to push it flat again, but the wrong way, so I took myself off to hosp. They x-rayed me, said it was in the right position (not flipped) pacing was all fine - go home don't worry
This morning howe...

It's has been over 5 years I got my pm implanted on left chest. I have been noticing, from day1 my left chest is bigger than the right one. I was at shopping mall trying out different shirts and noticed that now my left chest looks more like a breast. I am now getting more and more conscious about what I wear. I am thinking if I should get liposuction done. Is this common for the chest to grow? Should I wait for my pm replacement, and ask doctor to do something about it during the procedure? Pls...

I do have a appt this Friday but I went ahead and put in a call to the doctor, just waiting on a call back. I am not sur...

I was wondering if anyone out there was going through the same thing I am right now. I have had numerous ablations which resulted in two things: One... I have a complete AV block at 100%...Two.. I am 100% paced... My underlying heart deseases are Brady syndrome and PSVT.. The blood that is trapped in the bottom of my heart results in the direct symptoms of Congestive Heart Failure... Well I found out the other day that am in AFIB 2/3's of the time... The top chamber of my heart is trying to d...

Need advice, I had my CRT implanted in late July /12. From the moment they put it in I swear I felt better, legs were no longer tired, was no longer short of breath, could think straight again, had a lot more energy and the chronic morning cough was gone. It was a wonderful six months. Just after christmas I realized that I was again getting tired easily, and hard to walk up,the stairs again, I get lightheaded a lot again, and generally just want to sleep. I have to travel a long way to get my...
