Need advice, I had my CRT implanted in late July /12. From the moment they put it in I swear I felt better, legs were no longer tired, was no longer short of breath, could think straight again, had a lot more energy and the chronic morning cough was gone. It was a wonderful six months. Just after christmas I realized that I was again getting tired easily, and hard to walk up,the stairs again, I get lightheaded a lot again, and generally just want to sleep. I have to travel a long way to get my unit checked, I do have a Holme monitor, so I guess someone, somewhere is keeping an eye on me, but looking for anyone to calm me down and maybe know why things would suddenly change. Could it be it needs to be set again? I am told that it paces me 98% of the time. Does anyone have any ideas? I would be gratefull.

Call your doctor

Do you have a new type of monitor? I have to use a telephone with mine. I wouldn't count on "someone somewhere" keeping an eye on you. Give them a call. Something isn't right

I Second Giving Your Doctor A Call

Hi Jelkybean89,
I think you need to call your doctor as well. I'm not sure how far you have to travel to get your CRT checked, but if you can't make it there, ask to see if there is some other way to get it checked.
Did you have an AV Node Ablation as well? If you're 100% paced/dependent, it's especially important you call right away if you're not feeling well.
I agree, something is not quite right. Hopefully, it's just a setting or two that needs to be changed, but you should not be feeling like you did prior to your PM. Does your local ER have a rep they can call to check your leads and settings by chance? At least until you can get to your own rep?
Another option is maybe they can have a PM rep meet you half way at a hospital or clinic, or even come to your local hospital or clinic to check you out. I know St. Jude is good about providing that service (I have a St. Jude CRT-P). However you can make it happen, please call and get that checked as soon as possible.
Good luck!
