Hi Everyone out there in pacer land.
Thank you for all your comments over the last few days, Unfortunately I have only had a chance to read them now as only just arrived home from hospital at Concord in sydney, I was taken by ambulance late Sunday nite with pain in the chest and racing heart which scared the bejesus out of me I must say.
After being in emergency for a while and numerous tests, vampires taking my blood etc the Dr in charge rang my cardioligist and discussed with him my problem, To cut a long story short they admitted me to a ward where I would undergo further tests.
I had lung scans to rule out clots etc and ultra sound of heart, all turned out good thank goodness, I was on a continual monitor which checked all the time.
After a couple of days they decided to turn of a part off the pacemaker that I think had something to do with the rythm as said it was ( the pacer) reving up my heart everytime I would get up or move just about all; the time making my heart race, as the Dr said its thinking I`m about to go for a jogg or whatever and was causing unstable pacing.
Unfortunately this was found not to go good because with the AF the lower? part of my heart as explained was then only beating at 30 bpm, so after monitoring for another night they switched back on a part that would allow it to function again but without being so sensitive.
That being said I`m here to tell the story and glad to be home and feeling much better, they still want me to take Tambocor at 50mg dose twice daily and want me to discuss the use of a beta blocker called metoprolol with my Electro cardioligist when I see him on the 7th of march as the Dr/cardioligist told me it is a good drug and usually well tolerated and which they give regulary to patients as myself to help guard against heart failure etc, he told me it can lower my blood pressuer a bit but because my blood pressure is usually good I should be ok.
Anyway folks any feedback on all that is always welcome.
I`m glad to be back and to have the opportunity to talk with you all again, hope you all have a great Valentines day, guys I hope you all do well with your loves and girls hope you good some roses etc............watch out for the calories with those chockies!!

Hang in there friend. It really will get better I promise, but it may just take some time. What you're going through right now is what a lot of us out here are always warning new PM'ers about and the same thing we were warned about when we were new to our PM's.
As long as most of your tests are turning out good, that's a plus! Since it seems at least one of your issues is/was a setting issue, you're getting closer and closer to feeling good.
It was probably your rate response setting that was giving you grief. Others will correct me if I'm wrong. That setting is the one setting that bothers me the most when it's wrong. Once they get it set right, I promise you, you're going to feel so much better. Just make sure to let them know if you still don't feel well so they can make any other needed changes.
There are other settings too, that take a while to get right. Again, it takes time to get them all right, but you're well on your way. You're almost there!
As far as the meds go, hopefully you'll tolerate them well, and you'll feel better there too. It's scary at first when you have weird things going on, because you don't know if it's the meds or PM causing the problem(s).
Best wishes for a quick recovery.
