I was driving by myself coming home from work when the car in front of me stopped at a green light .. I was around 5 car length away from the car so I slowed down waiting to see what he was doing .. The light than had changed and he took his brake lights off so I assumed he was going to go through the...

Strange feelings

Hi to you all

I have been on here before, but I seem to have lost all my details, so hello again from North Yorkshire UK.

I had my pacemaker last October 2012, been very good since, I now realise how bad my SSS was.

Recently I have been having flutters seems to be in or around my heart. Is this pacemaker related, and should I go back to my clinic?

Also I seem to get lots of fluttering when I have been shopping, could this be related to the shops secur...

shortness of breath

I had a Revo MRI sure scan pacemaker put in on Feb. 5th and have had shortness of breath constantly ever since. I've been rushed back to hospital and admitted 4 times, had every test know to man done, including 2 heart catheterizations and they found nothing, 4 months and 20 days later the doctor changed the pacemaker settings from 60-130 to 60-150 and turned on the activity rate response function. As soon as he had the pacing tech change the settings, I noticed I was able to breath...

pacemaker syndrome

I was implanted with a dual leed PM 3 months ago. I thought I was doing well enough, though not real sure what my new normal is. I live at 3200 elevation and seemed to be doing okay. Like I have done for the past 13 years went to our cabin at 6300 elevation, and have never experienced what I did this time. Of course now I have a PM. The day after I arrived my breathing became more labored with very little exercise. My first indication would be a tightness in my neck, then heavy breathing,...

Routine PM replacement... OK to rant?

I feel betrayed & frightened by the aftermath of my 2nd pm replacement last Friday....
I noticed an IV bag & l asked pre-op nurse what it was.... antibiotics.... ANCEF... she wrote it down for me...I told her I can be sensitive to antibioitcs & have had C-diff twice ( can be deadly infection of colon) ... we are running out of time for the procedure to start.... I tell her you can look it up on line to learn which antibiotics usually lead to c-diff... no time... whisked away... oh well....

PACEMAKR/WEIGHT GAIN

I got a pacemaker August 14, 2012. I was admitted to the hospital (originally for a different procedure) on a Monday and discharged Friday. Had a weight gain of 10 pounds. I was distraught, especially since I had lost over 50 pounds. One of the prescribed meds (NORPACE) is a big weight gainer. Local cardiologist FINALLY prescribed something else. I had my annual physical June 2013. I had my annual physical June 2013 and agree with the internist that the weight gain is excessive. He discounted bi...

junctional rhythms

Hey everyone....
So I've had my pm now for about 3 months and I still am not feeling like myself. Just plain worn out. I feel a lot of what I guess are spasms maybe in my the low center of my chest. If I twist around or stop what I'm doing and take deep breaths I can make them stop. I work on a tele floor at a hospital and the other day I just wasn't feeling good. Chest felt all fluttery again so I hooked myself up to a monitor and it was almost all junctional again. I thought the pm was g...

fatigue

I've had my Medtronic PM for about 2 1/2 rears now to correct bradycardia.
For the past 2 years I've experienced fatigue with exertion that I never had before the PM. Especially when doing house repairs, gardening and constant bending and climbing. None of these can be considered aerobic or strenuous. Before the PM, I walked 3 miles in 40 minutes easily, and now get out of breath.

Tingling and coldness in feet and finger tips

My husband had a PM implanted four years ago. He fell in the bathroom and hit his head and his neck snapped back causing all the muscles in his body to constrict. Ambulance workers recorded his heart rate in the 50s. At the hospital his heart rate had stayed low and ultimately he was given a PM. He has had nerve testing and CAT scans of the spinal column with all showing no problems. He does not have diabetes. So one can determine the cause of the tingling and coldness in the hands and fee...

throat constricts, irreg. hb's with exertion

I am a 59 year old female, 7 days post-op for a dual chamber totally dependent PM. I am having serious throat constriction, light chest pain, and very irregular heartbeats whenever I exert myself. I went to the cardiologist that inserted it 2 days post-op with this. I kept telling him my pulse would be eractic on my oximeter going from 50 bpm to 150 to 120, etc. He told me that wasn't possible as the lowest setting was 80 bpm. I put the oximeter on my finger and showed him. He listened to...
