Hi to you all
I have been on here before, but I seem to have lost all my details, so hello again from North Yorkshire UK.
I had my pacemaker last October 2012, been very good since, I now realise how bad my SSS was.
Recently I have been having flutters seems to be in or around my heart. Is this pacemaker related, and should I go back to my clinic?
Also I seem to get lots of fluttering when I have been shopping, could this be related to the shops security devices?
Thanks to anyone who has any helpful ideas.

Fluttering

Hi Bee 43:
Got my PM in April '12 & after a month or two, I started to get sensations like palpitations & flutterings, that I never had before.
My cardiologist had my chest Xrayed & I wore a Holter Monitor for 2 days but no reason was determined.
My Cardio did increase my Beta-Blocker prescription. I now take a 50 mg time release, twice a day.
And, someone on this site indicated that a Magnesium supplement could be worthwhile.
These changes did help!
Speak to your to your Dr. See what can be advised to alleviate this condition.
Hope this has been useful to you.

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
Something has changed !

Hello Bee North Yorkshire must be lovely in this UK sunshine !
The fact that you use the word " recently" means that something has changed and that you didn't used to get these "flutters" . We all use different words to describe symptoms so nobody on here can second -guess what these flutters are . You really should get back to your clinic.
It may be nothing to worry about, it may be significant, it may be PM related , it may be nothing to do with your PM.
.. only a checkup with an ECG will help sort out what is going on !
Best of luck
Ian
