Had a bi-ventricular fitted Sept 2011, av and sa nodes ablated the following april but the sa node ablation had failed. Though with no av node I am pacermaker dependant. Still having atrial tachys, often admitted with severe chest pain but sure medics think I am imagining this.
Cut a long story short have been told to live with this as well as the apex thumps, tiredness and twiching.
Just returned from hols in Wales and was taken in hosp overnight. After various tests, they were appalled
I hadn't had an echo-it revealed one of the lead clips was pinching my diaphragm-causng twitching and pain, They contacted my hospital which basically said tough wait until my battery needs changing in a couple of years as was not life threatening! But even my ecgs are showing my atrial lead not picking up all tachys as set to 70, so anything above that not sensed. Ventricular set to 90. Due to sa ablation not working I am still getting breakthrough so needs to be set to this or any higher and I have horrendous sweats and collapses. Seriously thinking about changing my cardio care to elsewhere.
