Any one been given diagnosis of ideopathic low adenosine heart block (child) ? Apparently it’s rare, don’t know much more than that, so any help greatly appreciated.
I’m a parent of a child, soon to be fitted with pacemaker. Curious to hear from other parents, especially in terms of how much restrictions are on them playing in playground and activities. Can children still do dancing, gymnastics, press-ups, cl...

I am on the heavy side so larger on the top. My pacemaker is on the low side also. When I lean foward or turn over in bed it seems like it all moves and I can really feel it. It feels better when I wear a bra. It feels like it's pulling without it. Like when I turn on my side it feels like it turns on it's side. I hope I'm getting my point across.lol It's only been 2 weeks since I got it. Is this normal? Or is the swelling going down and I am just noticing it. I noticed it yes...

Really off the wall: Are there any members of the Pacemaker Club that are members because their dog has one? Not really a joke, just curious.

I noticed nowhere on this site is there a discussion about Pro BNP NT (Probrain Natriuretic Peptide NT). It's generally related to heart failure. Normal # is 0-124 pg/mL. Last July, my Mayo Clinic blood draw showed my Pro BNP NT number to be around 3,700 and a more recent blood draw showed it has risen to 4,659 - way high. Altho the test Mayo performed had this footnote: diagnostic NT-proBNP cutoff of 900 pg/mL has been suggested in adults 50-75 years of
age in the a...

Hi everyone! I’m brand new to the group. I don’t have a pacer yet, I’m supposed to be making the decision myself. I’m about to call my cardiologist for a referral for a second opinion, I don’t feel like my electrophysiologist has given me much information to make the decision myself. I’m sorry, this will be long :)
Background: I’m 31, and I’ve had heart palpitations for probably 10-12 years. Around 6 years ago, I went to the doctor because...

Hello all! Haven’t been around much, but I thought all the newbies would want to hear it does get better, and with regular trips to the mechanic life does not end!
My sparky is coming up on its 5th anniversary this October, and I still say life with is much better than life without. I have not passed out due to my Neurocardogenic Syncope since I’ve been implanted.
For all of you under 40 set- I was implanted at 32, and that was after a solid five yea...

I'm new to the forum but not new to the subject.
I got my first AICD on April Fools day 2003.
The second one on July 21, 2009
Now I am in the final months before number three. I've been pacing 100% for a very long time.
I usually go through life just like everything is normal, have had these things in my chest for over 15 years. Started out with EF <25, now it is 50-55. My heart is now normal size.
Since 2001 I have been on Coreg 25mg twice a day and A...

Hi everyone ! just wondering has anyone still have pain 6mo after having a pacemaker implanted? I have started recently having pain around the pacemaker site, I had gotten to point that I wasn't having hardly any pain. I don't know if I have strained the pacemaker site or what? This just started suddenly.

Hi Everyone,
This is not a club that I was excited to join!!! I just had a Pacemaker installed nine days ago.
I has only been to the Cardiologist one time! He sent me home with a loop monitor and told me to wear it for 2 weeks. I had told him I would be old enough for Medicare August 1 and wanted to wait until then in case he wanted to do stress test or something...I was thinking about financial costs. Thus the heart monitor and he sai...

I got my pace maker two weeks ago today, and I read all the stories of people with the REAL problems, and I cannot help them at this juncture as I am still trying to get adjusted to my own new experience. I exercise without getting s o b and am so grateful....I feel great, etc., but I am beginning to wonder how long I will have this ''elephant' sitting on my chest'. Does the acute awareness wane as time passes?
Thank you for your th...

Hope everyone is well. I haven’t posted in quite some time. Guess that means all is ok. My hubby just bought me the apple watch ⌚️ with the idea that i can call quickly in case of emergency. But, just tonight reading the info about it, it says that because of the magnet it could interfere with my pace maker. Which is a st. Judes two lines forMobitz 2. Any feedback would be do appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had my single chamber pacemaker put in 5/10 due to Sinus Bradycardia. I went for a short walk today and I was fine until I stopped. Then I got very lightheaded and like vertigo feeling. The funny part is when I was walking I felt fine. Only happened whenever I stopped. I go Friday to see my cardiologist for my first check. I am also on Lisinopril 20mg. Does anyone know if I am trying to do to much at first and does this pass? It's like my mind is telling me to go, but my body says other...

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
