Really off the wall: Are there any members of the Pacemaker Club that are members because their dog has one? Not really a joke, just curious.

I got it...you don't. Congratulations in the 10 years I've been a member I've read some...questionable questions, but yours is just downright dumb. Think about it
Gee Patch

Give the poor guy a break. His question is clear that he is addressing pet Owners not the pets themselves.
Kevarti, I haven’t noticed any members that fit that category but I do know that there are devices for dogs. Try using the search function on the site and see if you get any hits.

Who is the Real Patch ?
by IAN MC - 2018-05-27 08:33:02
I have a theory that Patch is really a DOG as years ago I had a Cocker Spaniel called " Patch "
So, Patch, would you answer these questions honestly :-
- Do you ever go past a tree without urinating ?
- Do you pant excitedly with your tongue hanging out every time your wife comes home ?
- Do you refer to your children as your litter ?
But most importantly , from a dog's perspective, what exactly is it like having an I.C.D ( presumably the vet fitted it ? )

Pacemakers for dogs? It's possible, I guess
by Gotrhythm - 2018-05-27 13:06:41
I'm a lifelong dog lover. I never heard of pacemakers for dogs, although these days, just about anything they can do for humans they can do for dogs, so I guess a doggy pacemaker isn't beyond the realm of what's possible.
If my little Lacey--the cutest miniature poodle you ever saw, and I have the photos to prove it--did have a pacemaker, I'm sure I'd be here looking for information about how best to care for her.
To Ian: I'm fairly sure The Real Patch--I call him TR for short--isn't a dog. Real dogs don't shoot down people for asking a question.

PM and canines.

When we die, our PMs are removed and destroyed. Seems like they could be donated to a needy pooch.

I am very lucky to have my device.
Nope

No. A survey of dogs with pacemakers, defibrillators and CRT's shows they are greatful for their life saving devices and unlike humans never complain.
Besides, what could they possibly say?
