Hi everyone ! just wondering has anyone still have pain 6mo after having a pacemaker implanted? I have started recently having pain around the pacemaker site, I had gotten to point that I wasn't having hardly any pain. I don't know if I have strained the pacemaker site or what? This just started suddenly.

Even after 5 years I still tweak mine the wrong way occasionally. Some ice and ibuprofen clears it right up!

Pain - little

Yes, I had some soreness after implant of an ICD at 6 months. When I bounce up and down while exercising I put my hand over my device to steady it. There is some tightness still after about a year. But I don't classify that as especially painful. I strain sometimes with weights at the gym and feel it more on the ICD side of my chest and recover by the next day or two. The car seatbelt is not comfortable so I got a cushion for it that mounts on the seatbelt and it helps some. A small pillow helps also.
In your case, a strain is possible since it started suddenly. I'd give it a couple days or so to see how it recovers. If not at six months it is about time for a checkup with your doctor, so schedule quickly if it continues to bother you.
Good luck!
