Livin Life

Hello all! Haven’t been around much, but I thought all the newbies would want to hear it does get better, and with regular trips to the mechanic life does not end!

My sparky is coming up on its 5th anniversary this October, and I still say life with is much better than life without.  I have not passed out due to my Neurocardogenic Syncope since I’ve been implanted.

For all of you under 40 set- I was implanted at 32, and that was after a solid five years of battling, because they thought I was “too young”. Don’t let that get in the way of the treatment you need, by the end before they implanted me I was having 10 second pauses,  and consistent rates in the 30’s. Looked like a washed out piece of wet noodle and felt like that too.

Since implantation, I have been on flights to Hawaii, visited theme parks, and aside from some consideration through security traveling is fine.  I’ve even been TSA Pre-Cheked.

At my last scheduled maintenance appointment I still have about 5 years on this battery, so I’m looking for replacement around 2022, pretty impressive.

Anyway, don’t get down by all the complication stories, they can and do happen, but there are just as many of us that have happy battery-powered lives!

Feel free to pm me anytime!

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.
