ICD alarm, what should I do?

hello everyone,

My ICDs alarm just went off, I have Medtronic ICD, and I was getting out of my car when a single monotone alarm went off. It’s after 5pm, should I call the doctor on call or should I go to ED or wait until tomorrow to call the office? Any advice highly appreciated !

You could wait until the morning, but if you are worried, call the doctor on call. If you can't get him go to urgent care and have them check. You can also go to Medtronics web site and listen to sample alarms to identify yours and the reason for the alarm. Nothing to panic about. Mine was a wrong number
