I would dearly love to use an i pad or i phone but they do make me feel unwell. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but it has happened when my son has left his i pad on the kitchen bench and I was unaware it was there. I became breathless and felt awful.

Received 3rd pacemaker (2006/2013/2015) to add another lead. Felt good for couple of days and then "toothache" like pain in area of pacemaker and in my back. No redness or infection. Continuous pain. CDU pacemaker check in 3 days. What could be the problem.

Hi I've had my PM since November 2013. The primary reasons were Bradycardia and AV block. I'm paced about 90% of the time in both chambers. I've had Atrial Tachycardia frequently during the past few months and now am scheduled for an ablation next week. The doctor put me on Cardizem for a month but, as he predicted, I don't want to live on it. It does not completely control the Tachycardia and makes me very sluggish. Does anyone have experience with the Ablation procedure?
Thanks

I have had a Pacemaker for over 4 years and no problems. I am very fit and have no trouble because of sports - i am 67. But today i have a very sore upper arm and part of my chest is sore on pacemaker side. It just feels like a pulled muscle but i have not done anything that would cause that. I am wondering if it is possible the Pacemaker has done something to make me sore? Has anyone heard of such a thing. I am sure i am not having a heart attack but it does hurt to take a deep breath?

Does anyone have any information about adverse interactions between a pacemaker and a TVOR - (i.e. aortic valve in a stent). I am asking because of a continuing problem with pounding heart beats and shortness of breath.

I recently had a major stroke four months after a pacer implant. Tests after stroke revealed that I have a hole in my heart between right and left chambers (a patent foramen ovale - PFO). I've had the PFO since birth many, many years ago.
No strokes in my history and I rate way low on risks for stroke.
Has anyone heard of a stroke in a person with a pacer and a PFO?
The hole allowed a blood clot to move from right side of heart into the left and then be pumped to my brain.<...

Pacemaker fitted December 2014. Still having many problems 4 months later. Technicians refuse to do any more tweaks. Given option of living with it as it is or having it off. So fed up.

It has been a little over two months since I received my pacemaker. At night it seems to shift a lot. Then it aches and I have to change sides to get back to sleep. I thought it would stay in place by now, but it still moves around. How long does it take for it to not move around.
Thanks for any help.

Has anyone had pain in their PM site after having it for years? I had mine put in in 2008 and now it hurts if anything lays against it or if I lay on my left side. If I touch it, it feels like a bad bruise would feel. When I lay on my side I get a strong pain, not just the discomfort I got way back when I first got it. I am in the last year of batter life, they predict. I wonder if that could have something to do with it? I've been getting random pains in my PM/heart area when sitting up,...

I had my pacemaker placed in March. I have had high blood pressure for about 5 years that has been in good control with Diovan and Toprol. Right after my pacemaker was placed my blood pressure went sky high. My family dr increased my Diovan but it is still really high. I am trying to convince her to change meds. Any ideas on what is a good choice? I have afib along with my sinus brady. I see from other posts that this is a common problem. Thanks!

Anyone out there having problems with the MedTronic SureScan pacemaker. Implanted eight weeks ago. Having problems with heart racing on the upper end, like 180+ bpm during moderate exercise. Didn't have any such problems before getting the pacemaker, only a very infrequent A-V block problem. Lots of adjustments since implantation, but worried that this (new) type of pacemaker may have unforeseen issues.

Thanks to my co-workers and EMTs for there work on me on 02/09/2015 for saving my life not once but twice. But this sternum and rib pain is almost unbearable at times.Have even called off work twice because I couldnt move when I got up in the morning. Granted I do seem to over to it at work, but just doing my job. Heard it could take up to a year for the pain to go away, Any truth to that ?

Hi. I just found this website, as I was searching for the links between dehydration and bradycardia.
After fainting 3 times in the last year - the last time I was standing in line at WalMart! - my doctor finally explained to me that dehydration causes my blood to thicken. Normally, when this happens, a person's heart will start beating faster to keep pumping enough blood to the brain to keep you going. But, since my pacemaker only pumps at one speed, if I stand in one spot too long...

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
