Sore arm and chest

I have had a Pacemaker for over 4 years and no problems. I am very fit and have no trouble because of sports - i am 67. But today i have a very sore upper arm and part of my chest is sore on pacemaker side. It just feels like a pulled muscle but i have not done anything that would cause that. I am wondering if it is possible the Pacemaker has done something to make me sore? Has anyone heard of such a thing. I am sure i am not having a heart attack but it does hurt to take a deep breath?

No, the pacemaker suddenly could not have done something to make it sore. It's just there. Pocket infections can happen after many years, but it would probably be more gradual than sudden. Watch for redness, streaking, new swelling, fever. Are you sure you didn't do anything? Maybe sleep on it funny? I have had something similar a couple of times. It wasn't obvious, but each time I eventually figured out something I'd done differently.

Heart attack symptoms can vary widely. Don't rule it out because it's atypical. When in doubt, it's always best to be checked out. Better to be sent home with a pulled muscle than ignore a heart attack.

Sleeping position

Sometimes I'd get sore from the position I was in while sleeping. Wasn't even aware I had done something wrong. Usually was after the nights where I had gone into a real deep sleep.

Like TraceyE says, look for the redness, pain and swelling. Worst case scenario is an infection. Don't want that to get away from you.
