Hello everybody!
I have an ICD (I get my first implant in 2008,the battery chnage was in 2014). Few days ago was a shock, because of lead injury, it is importent to tell you, that i did not had arrhytmya or syncope. It was terrifying, horrible experience. Now I am waiting for a serious operation, when the lead is going to be changed.
Do you know anything about warranty of the leads? (type: Biotronik Kentrox RV 75.)

Everything I find on the internet has to to with the Battery Leads.
Thanks

Earlier today at around 10:20 am my pacemaker made two distinctive beeping noices, I made sure that it wasnt my phone nor was there anything else in the room that would make the beeping. It came from my left as well. I called the heart doctor and also sent in a report on my pacemaker reader, I dont remember what its called, the heart doctors called back and said that my pacemaker wouldnt make beeping noises. Is this true? Im confused, i know what I heard. I was worried that my battery mi...

I just had my right ventricular lead extracted. The R wave was down to 1 and my lead was making alot of noise. Another smaller hospital originally put this lead in the apex right in a scar there 3 years ago. I have a scar in the apex and no one could diagnose me nor why. I had an ablation two years ago in the vicinity of the apex lead which fixed my VT and I have been off meds and running and vt free ever since. However the lead in the apex was failing and t...

Pacemaker Generator Replacement. Please read the following and be aware of this possibility. I am 100 % pacemaker dependent and will have my six-year-old pacemaker generator/battery replaced next week. Two weeks ago on the treadmill, I experienced shortness of breath. Saw my cardiologist two days later who checked me out and found no problem but scheduled me for nuclear stress and other tests in three weeks. I continued to feel bad and even walking a little distance I experienced shortness of...

I'm getting my ICD changed over to a PM in a couple weeks and I recently returned to powerlifting. I had my first ICD put in a couple years ago. I was active during the recovery and returned to fitnes 4-5 months after the implant surgery. After a few months of mild fitness I got into doing bodyweight movements and added heavier weights to my resistance training. At the beginning of this year, I returned to powerlifting and progressively returned to the heavy weights the powerlifters are k...

I'm an A-V node ablated owner of a Medtronic Viva CRT-D PM. Latest interrogation showed 7 months battery life left. Device was implanted in Jan 2015. I'm certain Medicare considers a PM as a "Durable Medical Device." Is this assumption of mine correct?

Hi All,
After 5 years of no problem since PM implant in 2012,went in yesterday for my son's 6mths device check up and there were some recent "noise" incidents recorded within the last couple of months on his ventricular and atrial leads. When asked about it,electrophysiologist mentioned can be caused by environmental electromagnetic fields interference since there were no effects to his PM pacing during that time.Did some research and it talks...

I have a Medtronic Sigma pacemaker for sick sinus implanted about 12 years back. Now the voltage is 2.63 V and battery status Ok with minimum 1 month and maximum 8 months estimated status. Should I wait for the ERI indication to come for replacement as it can give me bit longer time to prepare. The doc says can replace it now. If anyone can advise please. Thanks

Hi All:
Mum has a Dual Lead Medtronics Pacemaker implanted in July 2017.
She's got AFIB, had ablations, AV Node too, now advised she has Atrial Flutter.
I was just thinking and hope this isn't a silly question - that if you have the Dual Lead and as per Cardio - only the Ventricular is "turned on" then why isn't the Atrial Lead turned on? Why wouldn't both leads be activated?
I hope it's not a silly question: I just love all of your advice...

Found out my ventricular pacing capture voltage has gone up dramatically at the last check up. Now 3.5V. Will drain the PM in months if left at this level. Think either fibrosis at the lead tip site or lead fault.
The good news is that I had an atrial firbrillation (AF) ablation yesterday, had a transoesophageal ultrasound beforehand to ensure no clot in the right atrium, my sinoatrial node is not in bad shape, and my atriovetricular node is OK. Consultant thinks the ventric...

Hi Everyone
This is my first post after placement of my dual lead pm 11 days ago. I’d joined the group about a month ago, and your help was a godsend for me. You’d encouraged me to take action and I’m incredibly grateful. Your guidance was spot on. I’m bradycardia, resting rate was deteriorating for several years, finally hovering around 40 with dips into the 30’s. I realize now I was suffocating, and you helped me to get past my fears and denial. Tha...
