PM replacement

I'm an A-V node ablated owner of a Medtronic Viva CRT-D PM. Latest interrogation showed 7 months battery life left. Device was implanted in Jan 2015.  I'm certain Medicare considers a PM as a "Durable Medical Device." Is this assumption of mine correct?

A pacemaker falls under the medically necessary category.  But as Robin1 states, check with Medicare.
