Hi All, I got my new CRT in December and a new job that unfortunately puts me sitting behind a desk (it doesn’t stand).
I haven’t had the best posture and have caught myself hunching over like Smeegal over the last couple days/weeks and have had chest pain as a result.
My night monitor says all is ok, no alarms on the doctors side at all and according to them all is good.
The pain is like a big discomfort, slightly sore, stiff around the heart and upper lef...
New Adventure
Hello all, I think I am getting ready to join your club! I was hospitalized this December for light headedness and heart rate at 47. Event monitor picked up heart rate in the 30's at night, I did well on the treadmill test and my echo, accordiing to my cardiologist was good. Based on this, it was decided to hold off the pacemaker. But as of the last few days, my heart rate has been in the low 50's and upper 40's but now Im having chest pain, and feel short of breath even tho...

So I just got my first sub-pectoral pacemaker implanted on Friday, (Mar 8). Its now Monday. It hurts sooooooo bad! I always thought I had a pretty high pain tolerance. I don't even wanna lift up a cup of coffee that's how bad it hurts. I know they said to expect it to hurt more because it's sub pec, and he put it up closer to my armpit area. My whole left arm/shoulder/peck muscle just aches constantly. How much longer before I get better????

Good day
I am going for Sergey tomorrow and I am scarred. It is my fist time. My hobby is spraying cares, riding motorcycle, hunting and fishing, welding and woodworking. I perhaps need to stop these things or don't I.

Hi everyone, thrilled to find this support group!
I am only 10 days in after receiving my Pace Maker, and mostly everything is going well.
I'm 37, needed Pace Maker due to bradychardia / heart block -came out of no where pretty much.
The thing I was let down on was the whole "What to expect" part post surgery. Didn't get much information from the doctors, and naturally, wasn't sure what to ask...
During the day, I'm usually feeling pretty good...

I have had my PM for 6 weeks and it protrudes quite a bit towards my left arm. A bra strap rubs up next to it. I am 78, 120 lbs 5'. Is this normal? I keep thinking something will jam into it, as am unsure how stable the PM is. Thanks for help.
Sub-pec discomfort

Anybody with sub-pec find that it’s more uncomfortable than sub-dermal? Particularly with laying down? I notice every morning it is sore. I’ve had it for a year and a half. The ones before didn’t do that and they were sub-dermal... just seems like more pressure maybe? Other than that it has healed much better than the last time I posted
Chiropractics and Physiotherapy
Whenever I go for one of these treatments, I always remind the practitioner about my pacemaker and even indicate where it is. Nevertheless some of them seem to go all "automatic" on me and either apply force or extreme pressure to the pacemaker area. I feel like wearing a placard or large brooch over the area. For one thing, It feels uncomfortable when they do anything over the pacemaker site but I wonder, as well, if it is potentially harmful.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Had the thing (pacemaker) implanted in 2014 due to 2:1 heart block. Have had nothing but trouble since. Constant pain at the site, problems with settings, can't do any exercise using left arm or lift any weight at all without pain, it has never been comfortable, I have never gotten used to it... I can go on and on. Have changed doctors several times, had SO many tests, they all say the thing is operating fine, and there's nothing wrong with my heart (e...
Iritation - tingling
I had a Biotrinik Eluna 8 DR-T installed Nov18 as precaution since there was no definitive diagnosis.
I frequently experience tingling around the PM which I'm told it is nerves reacting or recovering from the PM. Sometimes it appears my shirt may touch or rub and trigger the discomfort. But then it will occur when I'm shirtless (advantage of working from home) specifically to avoid this issue.
There doesn't appear to...

pacemaker site
I have had my pacemaker for 7 years and lately I am having pain and discomfort where it is implanted - its like an ache and sometimes gets stronger. Don't know if I should let the Dr know or just wait until my next visit and ask. Anyone else have this problem?
thanks
Pam

I will be traveling soon for the first time with my new PaceMaker. I am a little anxious about the airport security. I do have the PM card to show. Will I still be going thru the screening and how does that affect the PM? Thanks so much for all the advice, it has really helped as my Dr. hasn't been very connected or available.

I am bummed out
Hi Guys,
I had a stress test last October. I felt that I had aced it, notwithstanding a bout of post-exercise asthma (I am NOT asthmatic - I just overdid it). My cardiologist called me afterwards and asked me how I was doing - unusual for him. I said I felt fine, and that was the end of that. A couple of days ago, my GP got a hold of the report and said he wanted to see me IMMEDIATELY. He has concluded that I have angina and prescribed nitro. He wants me to see my cardiologist and insis...
new here
I went to the ER because I had a back spasm. The muscle under my shoulder blade felt like it tied itself in a knot. I have DM1 so I've had this happen before. I called 911 because I couldn't even walk, that's the worse it's ever been. When the ambulance came they took me away, they couldn't give me any pain meds cause my heart was 33 BPM. I was in excruciating pain for hours, finally the muscle relaxer. The next day they said I needed a pacemaker, I'm only 34 ...

Well, I am into my 7 th week of post pacemaker and still feeling odd. I am also doing PT who comes to my home. Doctor has decreased blood pressure omens over the next two weeks.
I am seeing a therapist and taking Lexapro and one half tab of Xanax two times a day. Helps a little, but still anxious, not sure over what though. I want to get back to work, at least part time. I had a caregiver for a week, because I was so dizzy and it was bad. Wondering if this is just going to take mo...
