Hi I had a Medtronic dual chamber PM put in 11 days ago. It’s been harder than I anticipated. Does anyone feel themselves pacing? The last few days have been very noticeable, and I can’t ssy that I’m doing anything different it’s just happening and its uncomfortable 😣
Thanks .... Celeste

Hi All,
I seem to be going down the road (I think) of needing a PM. Back on 6/27 I left work early due to severe (nearly passing out) dizzyness. By 7/1 I had seen a cardiologist and then spent 4 days in the hospital. They did a spinal tap, MRI, Eco Cario, Eco Carotid, multiple EKGs and tons of blood. They came back with nothing except some kind of delay on one of the EKGs. The ONLY thing anyone noticed was that as I was sleeping (with a EKG monitor), a nurs...

I had a bi-ventricular paecemaker installed in November of 2017. I am a 58 year old woman who developted essentially CHF as a result of left bundle branch block from a virus (possibly the flu), all leading to an ejection fraction of 30 prior to the pacemaker installation. What should have been a simple operation on this relatively healthy woman turned into a nightmare.
The morning after the pacemaker installation, I was dressed and waiting for my husband to pick...

Hello, I don't know If you're going to read this but anyway I have to try :)
I dont speak perfectly English, so sorry for the mistakes you'll see by reading this text.
I come from Switzerland, and Im now in Highschool (my third year) and I have to do a work on a chosen subject. Its an exam. I chose to talk about pacemaker. psychological effects that people can have after their pacemaker implantation, and for that Im looking for people to talk about what they felt...

I don’t understand why we can’t get access to our readings online. I am supposed to send via Bluetooth periodically. I’m sure doctors think it would freak some out by seeing their data but I think I would be reassured about the sensations I get.
Anyone know why? It is our information after all.
thanks

My endocrinologist I've been going to for decades noticed that I had a low pulse (47) at her office the other day. She was worried and asked me I felt dizzy or anything. I felt great with absolutely no symptoms. She got me an ECG right then, and it confirmed that my pulse was 42. Still I felt fine. She wanted me to go to a cardiologist right then, but I told her I would go the next day.
I went about my usual routine, exercising every day, and I finally got to see a cardio...

Still feeling really sore and swollen. I've been huggin' ice packs like a long lost friend. Extra strength Tylenol is doing nothing so I figured I would give my liver a break and stop taking it as of yesterday.
My new device is a Boston Scientific "Momentum" CRT-D. I was told there are new bells and whistles after 10 years. I thought it would be smaller but my EP said it is larger...with all the new technology. So he had to make the...

So I'm 24 and I got really sick following my diagnosis, and the nearest hospital wasn't one I had an up to date chart at. I wrote on the paperwork that I had CHF, and eventually saw a doctor. She asked me "So what makes you think you have heart failure?" I just said "I was diagnosed about a month ago with an ejection fraction of 15" of course the doc was shocked but it didn't me til she left and my mom (who was there the whole time) started going off that...

I have a question that I hope someone can relate to or answer for me. I was having a problem with my rate response. During exercise, yard work, basically anything that you would expect a chage in HR mine was pretty much at 95 for most everything tops. At times I might get my rate up to just over 100. My EP adjusted my rate response a bit. Ever since that I have had a lot and I mean a lot of what felt to me like Afib but I have it document and the EP said it is simply APC's and PVC's....

I just had a pacemaker installed and it was somewhat of an emergency so not much time to logically assess choices, most of my decisions were based on the assigned doctor recommendations.
In hindsight I would like to have done a trade on what pacemaker is best suited for my age and lifestyle. One article I read suggested that by default pacemakers are designed for old people implying that they are not well suited for younger and or active people. Upon reflection I would think...

For my own peace of mind I thought it might be useful to know where local heart hospitals are while travelling. I have created a shortcut on my cellphone to this link Heart Hospitals
