Anyone have experience with having lithotripsy (Kidney Stone)

Hello,

I have a large kidney stone that they want to smash with lithotripsy.   Does anyone have any advice on this procedure?  I have a St. Jude CD3365-40Q pacer (bi-ven / defib).

Thanks

Vaughan

You should ask your cardiologist. Mine told me today that vibration was something to avoid. I'm pretty sure a lithotripter would be real bad.

I just had lithotripsy two months ago. Left side (same side as my pacemaker) and the only complication was that my cardiologist didn’t want me put out as much as they normally would (I have very low ef and frequent vtech) but there were no problems with my crt-d pacemaker. The shock waves are very focused in the newer setups.

The lithotripsy was a piece of cake and did the job for me.
