Occasionally feeling irregular heartbeat 2 weeks post pacemaker implant

I had a pacemaker implanted two weeks ago to keep my heart rate from dropping too low. I have afib and the afib is well controlled with Sotalol.  However, the Sotalol was causing my heart rate to drop into the low 30's. Thus the pacemaker. Surgery and recovery have gone well but I feel as though my heart is beating irregularly for short periods of time on occasion. I only seem to notice this when I am relaxing and then all I can think of is that I'm going back...

Can you feel your pacer pulse?

Hi - i have bi-ventricular ICD/Pacemaker implant just 2,1/2 months ago.  There have been a few times where if I'm sitting quietly, i coud feel it pulsing now and then.  Haven't felt that in quite a while though, and suddenty today, I am feeling it, in a different way - through my bones - specifically in my pelvis - and it's been pulsing all day long.  Every 5-10-20 seconds it goes off.  It is so bizarre that I've never felt it like this before.  It'...

Biventricular device

I was implanted with my device, pacemaker/defibrillator, in 2013. For the past 4 days I have been experiencing a fluttering or something, about an inch below my left armpit on the left side . I don't know if it's related to the device or not. My last home check was in August and it was ok. Has anyone had this problem?

Pacemaker-Critical illness?

So I just returned from my open enrollement. The hospital I work for is changing from a HSA to a PPO. Last year, when I got my pacemaker, my out of pocket exspenses totalted $10,000.00. I was reviewing the paperwork about a critical illness policy I had through UNUM. I called to see if the pacemaker might fall under critical illness. The representative said I could post a claim and she'd mail me the info and try it. She wouldn't lean one way or the other. I really don't think it w...

Teenagers with pacemakers?

Hi everyone!

I am 18 years old and have recently been fitted with an ICD this year (2017). I feel like I am the only young person out there with a pacemaker at my age!!

I know that there are far more teenagers out there with ICDs and pacemakers than I realise however it seems like no one shares anything online about what it’s like to cope with an ICD at this age.

I’d love to find more young peopl...

Change in resting rate and pulse pattern

Does anyone know if a CRT pacemaker can spontaneously change its resting rate from 70 to 80 on its own? I noticed that has happened with mine, and the pulse pattern has gone from every beat being of equal strength to a strong then weak, strong, then weak pattern.  Is this just a matter of having the tech reset it? The fact that this has happened on its own is disturbing.  Any help would be appreciated!
