New here

Thank you for the replies. I do understand the importance and the reason for elliquis but when that was the only change in my routine I just wasn't ready to take more. I have a severe cold - coughed so hard my chest is sore. The only thing I have taken is tylenol. What do you take for a cold? I have always taken Tylenlo cold medicine.The doctor's nurrse suggested Mucinex. Not much help.

Upgraded

I'm new to this I got a pacemaker back in August 22, 2016 thought I wouldn't be in this predicament but I had a 2nd degree heart block and I had bradycardia (slow heart rate). Just wanted everyone to know that I think we've finally found the problem I've been having for the last year! Last year when I went to get cataract surgery my heart decided to do a dance that they didn't like and I ended up in the ER for the remainder of the day while they were trying to figure out what was going on (really nothing--but some tachycardia) in the process they changed some of the settings on my PM and ever since then i've felt like crap. Can you feel the pacer pacing? I felt something funny in my throat and in my stomach this morning. I went for wound check( pacemaker 1 work week  today) Did not see doctor. I don't think I have ever felt that before. Kind of like a heart skip, I get those almost every day, and I hate them, scares me now for forty years. I wish the pacer would help those. Hi to all! My 90 yr old grandmother is recommended to have a pacemaker, and the doctor recommends the st. Jude medical mri safe brand. But since we're from the philippines, we hope to know the cost of the device. Does anyone have an idea?

Anybody know about Garmin Vivio fitbits

Hi got my Pacemaker 6 days ago. I asked the Dr. if I can use my Vivo fit fitness tracker. He didn't know, said call the company, well, I just got a email from the company, they said it should be no problem, but Check With your Doctors!!! Confusing! Anyone have any wisdom about this.

 One more thing, is it ok  if I do dishes as long as I dont lift any thing over 5 pds? One lady said she had to keep her arm in a sling for 4 weeks? ( You tube) Not what I was told. I have star...

Hi all, need an answer quickly please

I was trying on my new PJ's for Christmas, I am nearly 5 days post op. I forgot and put my arm behind me . My husband said the Dr told him I was not supposed to raise it above my head or behind me. Now I am worried I messed up the leads? Should I do something call Dr, what ? Its Christmas, I don't want to bother him. The Perfect Gift

I am always grateful at Christmas for the birth of a saviour, hearing from old friends, spending time with family, etc.

But for the past 3 years, I have also been grateful for getting my first PM.  I was completely surprised Dec. 23 when I was taken by ambulance to a local heart hospital and told I'd be getting a pacement on Christmas Eve.  I came home Christmas morning with my husband and children worried sick.

Hey everyone, I originally recieved my PM in 2011 and it has always annoyed me, it was just under the skin and basically uncomfortable, not painful, but I couldn't even sleep on my right side, because of the way it poked my arm. Soar left arm

I received my pacemaker in September of this year. My question is has anyone else had experience with extremely sore muscles in their left arm? The muscle at the top of my shoulder gets extremely soar and I feel that I have less strength as well. This has only started in the past month though. When I try to stretch my left arm I sometimes experience exscrusiating pain. Sleep!

Hi everyone! I got my pacer 3 days ago, I was wondering, I haven't been able to sleep well, wake up every hour or so. My heart rate was in the high fifties when I went in, no laying down it is 70 for awile then goes down. Now I know it can not go lower than 60. But, before it would dip in the 40's at night regularly . So, maybe my body cant relax at the higher rate? I am guessing.
