Thank you for the replies. I do understand the importance and the reason for elliquis but when that was the only change in my routine I just wasn't ready to take more. I have a severe cold - coughed so hard my chest is sore. The only thing I have taken is tylenol. What do you take for a cold? I have always taken Tylenlo cold medicine. The doctor's nurrse suggested Mucinex. Not much help.
I have an appointment with a cardiologist Jan 3rd. I will try getting back on the eliquis

Tylenol was origninally a just a brand name for Acetaminophen. And Mucinex was a brand name for Guaifensin, a decongestive.
But now both are the name for a large family of products which contain other ingrediants.
There are 9 different Tylenol Cold products. And 43 Musinex, some which contain acetaminophen. So one potental problems is an over dose of acetaminophen.
Also some of the other ingredients in these products can cause high BP problems or arrthymias.
Best to talk to your local pharmasist about what specific sysmptoms that you have which combination of products can help with the less problems.
