I have supraventricular tachycardia. I had an unsuccessful ablation done 18 months ago. Started taking sotalol and was fine for 6 months. SVT started coming back. Then got more frequent. Then had a bad one, went to hospital to get shocked back into rhythm. Had pace maker/defib installed 4 months ago. SVT's became more frequent. Had 6 episodes in one day. Pace maker has always paced heart back into rhythm.
My cardiologist said there was nothing more he could do for me and r...

Hi everyone!
Hope you are doing good today. Tuesday I had my 4 month PM anniversary and did my first remote data transmission. I got the results back yesterday and was surprised to see I went from pacing 14.1% in my ventricle to 29.7%. I guess the doctor was right when he told me my heart block could rapidly progress and that's why he wanted to implant the PM as soon as the block was discovered. My report wasn't very detailed and didn't give me my atrial % but last time it was a...

Why are you picking on me when other people out there have asked things like what game are we playing in the world cup. I thought this was an open forum but suprize it isn't. Don't have time for this Some people did like my poetry so I told them to go to that web site. Go back to being serious again, I won''t post anything but its not because you told me to I don't have the time to waste. Jackie Caylor

Ok it's been a little over 2 months since PM the first week check and follow up with ep in May went great and although I feel a ton better than I did before I feel like I am dragging again. Fortunately not lightheaded as before but at times a little short of breath and tired.. I just don't have quite the "spunk" as I did at first. Last time I was there they did adjust settings so I could exercise more but unfortunately Iam not doing that. Couldn't they have messed with my other settings?? Hea...

All this with congenital heart block, a couple arrhythmias, and MVP. I even got awarded the Clinical Excellence Award for demonstrating clinical thinking and communication skills in clinical practice!!!
To all my pacemaker friends with dreams, there is HOPE.

Sometimes when we get so sick we get wrapped up un that until we forget everything else. I've been writing poetry for 30 yrs and just thought it might make someone smile a little bit. Nothing wrong with that. But if you do like my poetry go to Poetry Poem.com and look my name up.Jackie Caylor

HI,
My mom had a pacemaker put in 4 yrs ago. She is now dying age 86 in hospice of 4 stage lung disease and 4 stage heart disease and other complications. The hospice doctor will not turn down or turn off the pacemaker. I have to listen to my mother calling " Jesus Kill Me, Please Jesus Kill me!. That is her montra! One time I asked her why she let go of my arm while walking as I gently dropped her to the floor because I couldn't hold her weight. She said she tried to commit suicide....

Hi Everyone,
Going on 3 months with my PM. Occasionally I get a high anxiety and mild feelings of depression. It comes and goes. I have checked my heart rate and blood pressure. They all appear normal. I am back to work and feeling healthy. I have gotten over the issue of knowing I am still around do to technology. A whole lot of gratitude and faith took care of that!
Is their anyone one else out there with this kind of experience?
Looking forward to hearing from y...

Hi had a PM for about 15 years and recently had a short stink in hospital with chest pain (no problem found) but a nurse mentioned that I have mild LVF, is this anything to do with my heart block or pacemaker ?? I have been discharged from hospital with the same meds as I normally take BB only 8mg.
I am a bit worried that they didn't find out why I had chest pain and I don't know anything about LVF CAN ANY ONE ADVISE PLEASE.
Maureen

Ben bact to work for a couple month now but not at my regular job as a Electrician. DR. released me 100%. They only let me do electrical work if we are backed up, boss waves the magic wand and its ok. I asked for a OSUN monitor but they want me to get a Holter monitor. HR. lied to me yesterday and said I asked for the Holter, told HR. I wanted the OSUN. HR. said no because it might give me a false reading! My respose was a false reading is better then no reading. I have another metting with them...

Be all you can be
And then some more,
Because its only you
That you will adore.
Adore the good times
Along with the bad,
Cause we have help
To keep us from being sad.
So keep your chin up
And your good to go,
Make every moment count
To put on a really big show.

Hi all,
I got my pm back in 2012, after I had an atrial myxoma removed from my heart. I had a love/hate relationship with this board afterwards, because I had a lot of difficulty coping. So this board helped me many times, but also scared me a lot. However, I did learn there is a lot of good info on here. So I come here with a question:
My pm site is crazy itchy. ALL DAY LONG. It has a thick keloid which doesn't help (as does my sternal incision). However, my pm clinic tells me...
You know you're wired when...
