anyone know what im feeling?

I had a pm implanted 23rd jan. I feel good and have tonnes more energy but I get this weird sensation in my chest. Its not on the pacemaker site but centre of my chest....its like feeling tiny little clicks or popping bubbles. Any ideas? Im sure its nothing to worryabout. ...ccould it be the pm working or maybe the loose wires inside my chest? Xxxxxx

Hey, Gang - Remember Bossy........

......Yeah, THAT Bossy. Short for Grand Dame Bossy, as dubbed by the indefagitable Tattoo Man.

Remember that she was planning a major surgery for this month. A Left lateral meniscus repair job, or some sort of procedure.

Well, I just heard from her - She SURVIVED! She did NOT report on the mental state of the hosp where they did the surgery, however.

She is in rare form, back home in Indiana, nursing a sore leg. I shall NOT even attempt to describe her state...

1st Time with TSA

PM implant 5 1/2 weeks ago. Traveled to sunny Florida Sat. No problems. I showed my card; the metal scanner was not begin used; I couldn't hold my left arm above my head yet per doctor's instructions; I got a quick pat down along the ribs only. Quick and easy! In one week I can use my left arm for mild swimming. Great!

I'm done!

Well I'm done with the monitoring as of this morning and sending it back! They (Lifewatch) told me that they'd send the final report to the dr. right away so hopefully soon we can figure this out! If it is a PM that I need I just hope they hurry up and get it done (I'd be almost excited for it I know that sounds crazy) but I'm so ready to solve these issues for good if possible! I want my energy back and I'm tired of feeling lightheaded most of the time! Enough is enough!

So, I am scheduled for a few procedures next month which include: pacemaker revision, lead extraction, ablation, and of course inserting a nee pacemaker and leads. I had a heck of a time with recovery from the initial surgery 6 months ago. I found it quite painfull; however around week 6 I felt like a million dollars! Unfortunately, my leads are popping up a bit causing great discomfort, and my pm has shifted partially into my armpit. I've also been having a number of tachycardic episodes d...

Just a few questions?????

Hey just want to know, how does it feel when you get the battery replaced? Do they take the leads out as well? I have a pacemaker, and just need information. One thing I just found out today and want to know if it's true. The pacemaker is only being used whenever I have a low heartbeat? I was just wondering because my doctor said I have 12 yrs. to replace my battery. Do they really go that long? I read it was 6-8 years to be replaced. Could it be because my pacemaker is fairly new? Anyway hit me...

I am a Newbe

I am sooo thankful for finding this site. I am getting my PM on March 24th and am beyond nervous! I have been reading your post and have gained a wealth of information here. I just wish I wasn't so frightened. What am I frightened of? EVERYTHING! Waking up in the middle of surgery, the pain that follows and not being able to use my left arm for a while. Let me just say I have been practicing for the past week and it is darn hard to pull up a pair of jeans with 1 arm. :)

Heart Transplant

Some of you may remember me even though I have not been on here in quite a while. I just wanted to update you on what has been going on with me.

On Dec 4th, I got the call that a new heart was available for me. I had the surgery and many many complications came along with it. I was in ICU for 2 months and in the hospital for a total of 2 1/2 months. I didn't even know it was Christmas! I have been home now for several weeks and getting physical therapy twice a week and I am fee...
