I have for over a year. The pain is constant now even with less and less movement. I went to a new Ortho and after he looked at the xray, he confirmed it. Any suggestions for what I need to know or do for an easier process. Any questions I should ask? I am not looking forward to this but my "good leg" has more pain now from depending on it so much. I running out of legs!
I wonder how long before I can get back to exercising and weight machines.

I am a 58 year old female. Healthy and active. Regularly do boot camp and running. Fainted for the first time on July 20, hospitalized, fainted again on August 13. Have fainted at least 10 x this past month. Wore a heart monitor for 2 weeks and have been diagnosed with Lengres or Levs disease. many tests were done and its not lyme or thyroid and I passed the cardio test while really exerting myself. Latest Syncope on Friday left me tired and weak. Feeling more and more like its hard to breathe....

Been pretty busy just reading through old posts, but would love some input on the situation. My cardiologist says I should get a pacemaker. I have an appointment on Thursday to see an EP at a different hospital for a second opinion, and would like to hear from you guys what questions I should have for him about all this. I have a few, but I know there must be some important things I'm missing.
And now for some background... This all started last July, when I blacked out while driving....

I placed an order from the store on August 25 paid via Paypal. Haven't heard a thing from the store itself since then. No confirmation of the order, no shipping information, nada.
I can't find a way to check on the order. Anyone have a suggestion?

I got a pm June 21. it still feels weird. Sometimes, it hurts. But, I am back at the gym and the A Fib is pretty much gone. I don't know if I needed one because I was on Flecanaide and I think that was causing problems. I had an ablation in Apr 12. Just before the pm, I was converting on my own when I would have A Fib. On the 20th of June, I started to convert all day, which was strange..so went to ER. They said that my heart was not beating for 6 beats each time I converted. Well, I was...

Hi everyone, I just found why I can't go ride a bike or go swining,I was told that my heart is so very weak even with the ICD/CRT-D; I was told to don't over do it no matter what, I do feel better, got more energy, Dr even frowns that I go and up the stair way, I have to keep my blood pressure below, 109/60 that is just general idea. Has any one had these problems, and why can't doctors be more honest I am only ask from the dr.how I am feeling, yet some how some details were left out, I like t...

I am new to this site, but I have some questions I'm hoping can be answered. I am 28 years old, TGA with Mustard procedure. I've have a pacemaker since I was 3, and I currently have 2 implanted; one in my abdomen from when I was 3, and one in my shoulder. I'm on my 4th pacemaker, but I was wondering if anyone else has two pacers like I do. Thanks!! :)

If you receive a phone call claiming to be "the Windows Technical
Department" and telling you they have detected a problem in your computer JUST HANG UP. It's important to not even talk with them. they are a scam with the job of getting information from you. ANYTHING you tell them can later be used to sound authentic when they reach someone else in your household.

I am a couple weeks post sinus node "modification". The doctor ablated some 36 different spots but did not completely ablate my sinus node. I was reading my discharge summary and read a comment by the nurse practitioner mentioning that most patients only benefit from this for about a year before having problems again. Has anyone that has had a partial sinus node ablation experienced improvement for longer period of time? If so, how long. I'm curious, so far I have had a great response to this...

As my surgeon was wrapping up in the OR (btw, I was completely alert and awake during my procedure, which was rather weird but interesting to me), I told him and the OR crew this joke that my brother (who also has a pacemaker) had just told me before I went in for the PM procedure.
A pastor was visiting an older lady in the hospital who was dying. As she was dying, she handed him a note. The pastor put it in his pocket for safekeeping, and the woman died. A few days later at her fu...

There seem to be many out there wondering about how soon they can shower after pm insertion. I talked to my EP about this. I had the dressing removed the morning following the surgery which I had the previous evening. Site was then thoroughly sprayed with "OpSite" This is a totally waterproofing silicon type spray. (I am not entirely sure what it is) that lasts about two weeks, so I was able to shower straight away. I had dissolvable stitches, so there was no problem with infection and w...

Hello Friend in Pacemaker Land,
I'm coming up to my 10 month anniversary for my pacemaker and was wondering if I should request my upper rate setting be adjusted higher.
I'm a very active person and will be running in the NYC marathon in November.
I'm not pacemaker dependenet.
Right now the upper rate is set at 150, my real question is....
What are the DISadvantages if I go higher.
If anyone know, I'd appreciate your input.

I received my PM on Aug 20 for tachy/brachy. Quite a shock and still coming to terms. This website has been amazingly helpful and I'll continue to monitor. Going for my first post op check next week, with a lot of questions.

Had my first visit since P/M put in on the 28 of last month. Dr said everything looked great and I was 30% depentant on P/M and from know on I didn't need to see him and just see my heart Dr that I have had for the las twenty years, anyway he's the one who said I needed the P/M and he gave me the Dr's name who did the job. So I guess I'm doing ok and no problems and no pain.He also said full showers and the tape would come odd be itself , so taking a shower without the cover over the incision is...

To all that replied to my message, thanks so much. I do not feel so bad now since I find out that there are others out there going through the same thing. Thank you all so much and will take all the information to look at and see what else I can do.

I am just thankful that I am alive and that even though I have this pacemaker it is not the end of the world.
