heart failure stage 3

Hi everyone, I just found why I can't go ride a bike or go swining,I was told that my heart is so very weak even with the ICD/CRT-D; I was told to don't over do it no matter what, I do feel better, got more energy, Dr even frowns that I go and up the stair way, I have to keep my blood pressure below, 109/60 that is just general idea. Has any one had these problems, and why can't doctors be more honest I am only ask from the dr.how I am feeling, yet some how some details were left out, I like to have them just tell me the truth, and not find out after the fact. So my ICD/CRT-D is keeping me going. I was hoping to do more walks and execrise more. Because my heart is so weak, I still don't know how weak? Any I just had to fend a little.

So very sorry to hear you didn't get better news. Are you a candidate for a transplant? Be well. Did you get a second opinion? I'm no dr but seems to me small amounts of exercise would be better than none.

questions to ask

Ask them what your R-Sense and LV-Sense seperation is. If it is less than 100ms it makes sense why you are not responding. (note this has nothing to do with the pacemaker programming, it is the seperation between the RV and LV leads, the larger the seperation the better, ideally around 120-140).

Have you had an AVOP done? If not make them do it. You will go in for an Echocardiogram and the Pacemaker Technician will be there and they will adjust your AV timing and your VV timing and assess your EF and VTI numbers and figure out what is the best for you. It helps a lot sometimes.

Good luck
