Hey everyone it's me again. Well since I talked to everyone last time I had to go back in and have 2 leads put back in that had come undone. WOW, I wonder if this will ever be over. I am having alot of pain in my left arm and shoulder. Has anyone had any problem like that? It only been 6 days since I had my second surgery and I go back in the see my doctor tomorrow. I had a friend that had knee surgery a week ago and he went back to see his doctor a week later, he was complaining of pain a...

Dealing with pacemaker
I am a 48 year old that just got my pacemaker in Nov 2007. I had passed out in the Summer & was told that it was because of menopause because they couldn't find anything wrong with all the test they did. In November l had 4 lightheadedspells along with feeling dizzy & having a hard time breathing. Then l passed right out on the floor, l then went to the hospital & found out l also have a menigioma benign tumour. Which the Doctor thought was why l was passing out & then after giving me medication...
Pain
Thanks to Cathryn B and johnc_19 for reassuring me about my current situation. At least I now know there is a resolution. My second reaction is "who is responsible" for the costs? Any help there? Gee, I feel like you two are doing all the work for me. Thanks again. Chukat
Pain
Since implant Sept 08, can't distinquish if I have more energy or not. What my problem is the surgery area, namely the raised device. I am predominately "left-handed" and the unit is practically up against my shoulder bone. This area is always sore. Last 2 nights the pain wakens me after I attempt to turn to another position. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'ts been 7 months since implant. Will the unit settle into my chest cavaity? I'm only 5'8 at 168 lbs. Thanks.....Chuck
Unexplained ups and downs in general health
My pacemaker was implanted because of chronic atrial fibrillation. The procedure was AV nodal ablation -- the only procedure suitable for my age. For the most part I am pleased although I do on a semi regular basis suffer from frequent skipped beats, low energy, internal agitation and unreasonable fatigue. These symptoms can sometimes last up to a month and then suddenly disappear and I may have several weeks of perfect health...energy, regular uninterrupted heart beat, and no internal agit...

I read the issue and was so thrilled to see something that I can purchase for when I am in a car and the seat belt hurts my chest where my pacemaker is. Also the comfortHer bra strap is also something I really need. My pacemaker is big and parts kinda bulge out of my chest.........They say I need this size because I have a three lead one and this one makes both sides of my heart work in unison. I also have obstructive cardiomyopathy and my heart does not fill as a normal heart will......Have to...

Hi everyone, I'm a 45 year old single Dad and I get very little help with bringing up my two sons aged 16 and 13. The boys themselves know that Dad is unwell and they also know that stress makes me sicker and so on the whole they help me more than they hinder. I have three jobs that I work at mostly from home but without these three jobs I can't make ends meet. I was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy with the additional complication of permanent left bundle branch block about six years ago -...
life goes on
Well one month after my ablation my husband without warning told me he didn't love me and he wanted a divorce. He seems to be having a midlife crisis and unfortunately with someone almost half our age. I was completely devastated. I couldn't believe how little he cared after everything I have been through this year with my heart. I have however come to terms with it over the last few weeks. I have been blessed with a second chance at health, love, life. Everything I was most afraid of has come...
pacemaker site sore
Hello, I've had my pacemaker for 10 months and recently lost over 20 pounds. The strange thing is since I lost the weight the site is tender especially if I do anything that strains my pec muscles. It seems to hurt the most along the wire. Anyone else had tendernous this long after getting one?

is it normal to feel breathless on Beta blockers and it seems to be more acute after I eat?
Or is it that perhaps I only have a certain part of my pacemaker switched on I am sure I heard the technicians say when they were fine tuning me that this bit doesnt need to be switched on and it will save on the battery life my pacemaker is a dual lead and itis the kind that can out run initial bursts of afib and i require beta blockers to do the rest.
Does fluctuating the specific time y...

I am so excited today! I actually completed a week of work for the first time since August 2007. It was half days, of course, I am easing back into it. During my time off, many days I didn't have strength to even lift my head and started to think my life is over at 36! I couldn't see myself back at work, I could hardly get up to shower, eat or even watch TV. All I can say is God is Good! I know I am not 100% but I am encouraged by the progress. I am still suffering with anxiety because my...

Well, it has been a long time since I have posted. I just recently got out of Sacred Heart Hospital here in Spookane, WA. for Atrial Fibrillation and was treated with a cardioversion which was a success. I am now taking Tekosyn and a ton of other meds to ensure my QT stays in a good zone. All this started because I was feeling symptoms of heartattack and sweats and all that, which could have been associated with the medication, treated for mitral valve prolapse. I was on betablockers at the t...

I had a pacemaker implanted just 2 wks ago so I'm being careful about my activities untill my Dr gives the ok. I've been a passionate scuba diver for over 40 yrs now , and at first it looked like I'd have to give it up. Now, it seems like all will be ok .I'm sure my first dives with a pm will be accompanied by some anxiety, but I'm also sure that the anxiety will pass with time and experience. I've already decided that I'm going to limit my dives to about 50 ft, and that's ok. Except for t...
