Pacemaker? Leads?

On June 23rd, I'll be in the hosp. where a cardiothoracic surgeon plans to go between my ribs, through the epicardium and implant a third lead into the muscle around the left ventricle. Device clinic nurse will want to see me a couple weeks later to make sure that lead is working correctly.  Here goes!!!

Upper back, collarbone pain 6 mo after pacemaker

Hello - 32 yo. 7 mo post op. I've been having back pain and pain under the collarbone for the last 3 days. I'd started out on my pacemaker side as a nerve ish type pain, but now it's extending over my whole back to where I can't get comfortable when I sleep and need Tylenol.

Low heart rate after pacemaker

I had a Medtronic dual lead pacemaker last Wednesday. My settings were 60/120. My heart rate has dropped into the low40s several times in the last couple of days. I called and talked to surgeon and he didn't seem very concerned. I thought pacemaker shouldn't let my heart rate go below 60. I was diagnosed with tachy Brady but before surgery I was told I also had heart block. I'm very concerned about my heart rate still going so low

Six weeks today, Wednesday, and I must say except for the ugly scar I feel just fine. 12 days post insertion

I had a dual chamber pacemaker inserted 12 days ago. I  sometimes feel a sensation in the center of my chest.and sometimes  when I check my pulse during these episodes i feel a missed beat. I had the device checked several days ago and ws told all was OK. 

Is this common ? does it get better? I also have GERD, could I be mistaking this funny feeling 

from bad hearburm? oncee I took famotidine and it seemded to help?

Lead extraction advice

Hi all,

my name is Meg, I'm 34 and on my second pm. I've seen three cardiologist in the last few months and it's been determined I need both leads replaced due to noise and my pacemaker battery is wearing down, basically a whole new system. 
 

I was trying to go to UC San Diego for the surgery since it is their specialty area, however my insurance has denied my claim for network adequacy since I like in AZ and have an HMO plan.

Strange sensation

Hello everyone I picked my husband up from the hospital yesterday after he had a CRT D inserted on Wednesday. While in hospital " plugged in" he didn't feel any odd sensations but since being at home he is experiencing a tapping sensation in his diaphragm and stomach region. 2 weeks Post Surgery

Hey, 

I had my pacemaker replaced on May 7, and have had the normal soreness afterwards. But now, almost two weeks post op, I randomly get a little dull pain that doesn't last more than a few seconds, and usually goes away when I readjust my arm, but sometimes not. I was wondering if anyone else got this pain post op and if it is just normal during recovery and it's just the pacemaker and new leads settling in.

Hi everyone my first posting and just interested to know our my present symptoms common.

Hello Everyone . I just got a dual chamber St Jude PM implanted last Tuesday. So I'm a week in and how I feel is not consistent at all. I'm still in a sling , and that might be affecting the quality of sleep. But when I wake up most days I feel really really good. Recovery time

Hi,'can anyone tell me what the recovery time is from Bracardia after PM implant?  I lived, at least the past few years in the low 30's while I slept.  Brain fog no energy sleep 14 hours a day.  Ok two weeks ago I got the implant.  I feel much more clear when I awake but will I ever get my strength and motivation back?  So tired all the time?

Sharp jabs

Hi, I had a pacemaker put in on 3 April - not too bad, sore neck muscles in particular and my arm but site was good.  All OK so far - but the last couple of days I've had a couple of sharp jabs down my left side - kind of electricial/nerve type jabs - and in the early hours of this morning, it woke me - and hasn't eased, I can feel sharp jabs in waves just left of my navel and that goes up to mid-chest - making me feel quite worried.  Any ideas or suggestions?

Still feeling dizzy

Hey guys, I'm 21 years old and just over a month ago I was diagnozed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome with symptoms of dizzyness or foggy mind as they call it. Im getting a little stronger every day but still feel fatigued. Doctor wanted me to take 5 weeks off 

work before going back. I'm 72. Hope I start getting my energy back
