Pacemaker? Leads?

On June 23rd, I'll be in the hosp. where a cardiothoracic surgeon plans to go between my ribs, through the epicardium and implant a third lead into the muscle around the left ventricle. Device clinic nurse will want to see me a couple weeks later to make sure that lead is working correctly.  Here goes!!!

it all sounds a bit invasive.  Will you report back and let us know how it went and give us all the details ?  I am sure you will be in very good hands and hopefully the third lead will make all the difference

Hope it goes well

Just read and responded to one of your orphan posts from last Aug 15th - but realised that we've had a lot of back and forth about epicardial lead placement for LV remodelling after RV-apical pacing.

Here's hoping that the epicardial lead helps with your %LVEF.

Best wishes,

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
