I had my dual lead pacemaker fitted in April 2016 as an emergency, after blacking out whilst driving, and 'flat-lining' five times. I was diagnosed with sick sinus syndrome, which came as a shock as I had no prior warning. After getting used to the feeling of something foreign in my body, and wanting to rip it out of my chest, I eventually got used to it, and was able to largely forget it was there. However, the past few weeks I have been experiencing a horrible soreness ove...

Went to have pacemaker taken out and put in New pocket. Cardio said he didn't want to operate because there was a haematoma under pacemaker and that it would cause infection. Sent home and see doc in month. Now I am worried about this, he didn't say how it will go, or what I should do anyone had similar

Hi guys,
My name is jessica I am a 28/female/sick sinus syndrome.
I am in the hospital right now after just having a pacemaker implanted on 8/9/16. I woke up at 4 am today with excruciating pain radiating from the center of my chest and I can't breathe without intense pain. The doctors ran a ct scan and were surprised to find no blood clots and are thinking it may "just" be inflammatory...? I cannot lie flat because the pain is unbelievable and I have to sit st...

I had a CRT pacemaker implanted 3 weeks ago and today I noticed that my left wrist is swollen and I believe most of my left arm. Is this something that is common and anything to worry about?

I had a Dual lead Boston Scientific PM implanted 7/19/16 in preparation for a future AV Node ablation to fix my proximal SVTS and AFib. Base rate was set to 50 since my previous resting rate was 55 to 57. Overnight observation went well and BS tech said PM and leads test good but data showed I was paced 40% of the time. Doc chalked it up to affect of general anesthesia and I was sent home with arm restraint. I took my pain pill, antibiotic and went to bed. Following morni...

Hi, I know this message will sound stupid, as I'm really not a bright person who learns all the big words, or is even capable of spelling them (or many of the small ones). At any rate....
My St. Jude Pacemaker was installed in Oct. 2014. I've had problems and have not felt well since. I have been to the doctors several times for adjustments and they always find a new problem with my heart that they need to adjust for. The "wiring" is in bad shape.

I haven't posted in quite some time. At present I am a 62 year female, had a dual chamber PC implanted 3 years ago for uncontrolled atrial tachycardia. After a few bumps in the PC road of life, I was doing quite well. After my last PC check, my doctor sat me down and told me I was having episodes of a-fib for up to 90 minutes long, about one a week for the last 3 months, and was at risk of having a stroke at some point. He told me the top of my heart is just a m...

Hi , had a pacemaker fitted 4 years ago due to 3rd degree heartblock. When the devise was first implanted I only used it 26%of the time but recently went to 100% is this a common thing? Now I am pacing 100% I don't understand why my heart sometimes beats too fast for the situation. I was trying to sleep and felt wide awake checked my pulse and it was going at around 100 instead of the usual 60. This went on for what seemed hours, I went to the bathroom and jogged on the spot to see if I c...

Dual chamber pacemaker placed in 2013 for Brady-tachy syndrome. Normally demand paced in the atrium with occasional pacing of the ventricles. I am now 19 weeks pregnant and have all of the sudden been pacing in the ventricles anywhere from 60-91% (up from 2% prior to pregnancy). They tried reprogramming due to undersensing in the ventricle, but it has not helped. Has anyone had anything like this happen?

Received pacemaker for Vasovagal syncope because of blood drawn I flat lined for 24 seconds; 9 days after surgery the pacemaker data showed 747 episodes of heart rate dropping episodes of at least 25bpm! - For example: 77bpm - within 1 or 2 heartbeats it drops to 44bpm.
Before pacemaker tests show I had no abnormal arrhythmias or bradycardia. - I wore a holter monitor for a week with positive readings and no signs.

I had a pacemaker installed on April 8. On July 1, I stopped being cautious about moving my left elbow above my shoulder and right around that time I started noticing numbness in my left pinky finger and the outside edge of my left ring finger. I went so see my primary care provider last week and he thought I had bumped my elbow which affected my ulnar nerve and put me on a regimen of alleve twice a day for inflammation and told me to come back in a week if it wasn't better. Which I...

My Consulta crt-p was placed under th epectoral muscles about 8 months ago. It seems to be more superficial than that now at least with the top portion of the device appearing to be more just under the skin than under a muscle. My EP doc was not sure why that was the case and added that rarely thye have to go back and do a reimplant if the superficallly placed prtion get inflammed.
Does anyone have any experience with this or any thought? Thanks .

Hello, It has been a while since I was on here. I had a dual lead Pacemaker implanted in May of 2014 for Bradycardia. It all started because of serious Shortness of Breath / SOB however it did not solve the SOB. Since then I've had just about every Cardiac and Pulmonary test on the planet and they found: that my arteries were in the word of the Surgeon Like a teen agers, Pristine. The Lung Function tests all came back fine too. Well June 2nd my BP was 124/64 and I was happy with that...

I'm 1 week post AV node ablation and honestly feel no different, HR in the 90's quite a lot of the time and when out for a walk (flat) still got the tight chest/ throat.
Hve tried to get in touch with Consultants but no luck yet, should have an appointment in 3-4 weeks time, was wondering if I could have junctional rythm, or will that go along with the ablation. They reset some of my settings after the proceedure, lower rate twice as it was set to 90 with RR on and it felt like...

I just got done with a 30 day monitor cause I am usually 100% paced in both sinus and av node but after my last interrogation I started having tachycardia again and sometimes I am atrial sensing instead of pacing which causes a great deal of pressure and chest and in my back between my shoulder blades. I'm currently waiting for the dr to call to talk about the report, I know I lost 4% of atrial pacing and I had a run of VT during the night while sleeping. Has anyone ever experienced this?...

Hi there I had my pacemaker recently relocated due to it becoming too superficial to the skin and was almost eroding. It was moved down and slightly deeper but not under the muscle as was original plan. My leads from collarbone to scar were slightly superficial before op but are even more pronounced now and I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible they can perforate? I'm seeing my GP regularly as only 3 weeks post op and live in rural area but I'm not seeing my cardiolog...
